For FY19, BEL posted 32% higher PAT of Rs.1886.4 crore on 18% higher sales of Rs.11854.7 crore and an EPS of Rs.7.74. For Q1FY20, it posted 12% higher PAT of Rs.210.59 crore on sales of Rs.2061.72 crore and an EPS of Re.0.86. For FY19, it paid 170% interim dividend and declared 170% final dividend v/s 160% interim dividend and 40% final dividend paid in FY18.

Future projects
1) As at 1 July 2019, BEL had an order book of Rs.51715 crore, which is almost 5x its FY19 revenue and provides strong revenue visibility
2) it plans to create Centres of Excellence (CoE) in R&D and an Innovation Cell in IITM
3) operate new plants at Nimmaluru for advanced Electro-Optics and Anantapur for its Missile Seeker business besides focusing on AI based projects and indigenization
