🔻 BTCUSDT 15M — POC Rejection + Trend Continuation Short Setup

Timeframe: 15M
Entry: ~83,625
SL: 83,883
Target: 82,967
Approx. R:R: 1 : 2.56

📊 Trade Logic

For this setup, I started with the previous session’s Volume Profile and marked the POC as the main reference level.

The idea was to wait for price to show whether it could reclaim and hold above the POC or get rejected from it.

1️⃣ Strong upside move → exhaustion

BTC first made a strong impulsive move from the lower value area toward 85,500+.

After that move, price failed to maintain the highs and started pulling back sharply.

This was the first indication that the aggressive buying momentum was losing strength.

2️⃣ Retracement into the POC area

After the sharp move down, BTC retraced back toward the POC / high-volume area.

Instead of cleanly reclaiming the level, price started struggling around it.

That made the POC an important decision zone.

3️⃣ Lower-high structure

On the retracement, price failed to recover the previous swing high and started forming lower highs.

So the structure shifted from:

Impulse up → rejection → lower high → bearish continuation

This gave additional confirmation for the short idea.

4️⃣ SMMA confirmation

The 21 SMMA and 50 SMMA were also acting as overhead resistance, with price trading around/below the moving averages.

So the setup had confluence from:

POC + Price Rejection + Lower High + SMMA resistance

5️⃣ Risk management

I planned the short around 83,625.

SL: 83,883
Placed above the nearby resistance/rejection zone.

Target: 82,967
Targeting the lower value/liquidity area.

The setup offers approximately 1:2.56 risk-to-reward.

🧠 The Core Idea

I don’t use the POC alone to enter a trade.

The POC tells me where I should pay attention.

The actual entry comes only after price confirms the reaction.

Previous Day POC
↓
Strong move gets rejected
↓
Retracement to POC
↓
Failure to reclaim
↓
Lower high
↓
SMMA resistance
↓
Short

POC gives the location. Structure gives the direction. Price action gives the entry.

This is the type of setup I am looking to repeat rather than predicting every BTC move.
Trade closed: stop reached
because i diverted from my actual setup.sorry
