@I-Fund-Trader, I don’t expect anything from it now, my point was to demonstrate the failure of channels on log scale and when they do it’s always ugly. Look at MRF.

@French_Fries, Do you know why & where the log scales are used ?? do you have idea ?

@I-Fund-Trader, whenever you need to measure a quantity against long time frames, so that the previous smaller values don’t get eliminated like it happens in linear graphs, if you do that you get much better trend lines and clear cut structure. Try switching between log and linear for hdfc, you should be able to see the difference.

@French_Fries, I dont agree with your explanation , may be because you are not form finance filed or you dont have complete knowledge , you can Google it for what reason the financial scrips are converted in log scale and viewed for forecasting purpose , and which financial scrip ? stocks , commodity , Currency , Bonds , ETF , statistical data ,

@I-Fund-Trader, yeah I’m 17 year old. Learned in math class that any quantity whenever needs to be measured against longer time frame could also be plotted against log so that you don’t miss out on the lower values, applied here and I see day and night difference how clear the structure becomes. Works for me.

@yogi_sharma_elliottician, use it whenever you are measuring any quantity over a long period of time. Basically the log charts are plot of exponential function between time and the price value.
