Thanks @alanmasters , I'm a noob and took a small position in eosbtc so I am watching this one. The alts have been so choppy recently that casual traders like myself have struggled to get any real action. I do have a question if you don't mind though. When you play an alt on leverage what would you like BTCUSD to do so your analysis stands true. If it dumps or pumps, does the alt analysis get invalidated?

The way Bitcoin affects altcoins depends on the market cycle and which altcoin pair you are looking at and the time frame as well... Many variables.
