just going to chime in on stocks -- the way to really maximize your ideas is to get the tightest stop possible. A ton of research has gone into stops, risk reward, etc, and using metrics like ATR multiples etc routinely produce worse returns. What produces higher returns, even at the expense of accuracy, is consistent allocation size and large reward. To achieve this you can use a "delayed strat" which could be like the first close below a new 2 or 3 bar low, or a "anticipation" strat where you front run a signal but look for something like trades below the 7/30 bar, the theory being that wick showed some buyers and they would be quick to stop out (fueling any potential actual distribution that come in)

yep, it takes (in my experience) some serious babysitting intraday to watch the tape and see if theres actual selling or if its just hunting in these tinier names
