@Gtmroy, we can't be certain about anything. But the possibility can't be denied. It could test the median line before testing the lower lines or upper lines before lower line or it could follow any trajectory.
The purpose of having a pitchfork here is to establish the downtrend (with the angle of median showing trend strength) and the boundaries of pitchfork (showing the probable range of
price swings). Hope it helps.
