I think you tried to differentiate the stroke of price movements & Consolidation , the stroke in financial market is nothing but price change in rapid manner , and consolidation is nothing but price remain in range bond by daily but moves randomly with in specified broader range , You still need to read carefully what you are looking , because the Method is correct but application is complex Try again its My personal Opinion
