All time High closing, range breakout - 2000 levels in insight

LG Electronics India - After spending several months oscillating between well-defined support and resistance levels, buyers have finally absorbed the overhead supply and pushed price beyond the range ceiling. The measured-move projection, obtained by extrapolating the height of the range from the breakout point, suggests an upside target near 2,000, provided the breakout sustains. A successful retest of the breakout zone would further strengthen the bullish structure, while holding above the former resistance would confirm a classic range breakout and continuation pattern. Until proven otherwise, the technical bias remains positive with the measured move serving as the primary upside objective.

LG Electronics India reported a strong Q1 FY27, delivering 15.5% YoY revenue growth to INR 72.33 billion and expanding EBIT margin to 12.5%, despite commodity inflation and currency headwinds. Management attributed the improvement to premium product mix, calibrated price increases, and operating leverage, emphasizing that every major product category recorded double-digit growth. Premium appliances such as French-door refrigerators, large-capacity washing machines, and dishwashers continued to outperform, while the LG Essential range expanded penetration into Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets without diluting margins. Home Entertainment was the standout segment, growing 22.3% YoY with a 19% margin, driven by larger-screen TVs, OLED/QNED adoption, AI-enabled product launches, and stronger Information Display demand. Export performance reached a record high, rising around 30% YoY, with exports remaining more profitable than domestic sales and now spanning 65 countries. The Sri City manufacturing project and rising localization are expected to further improve cost competitiveness, while India's new compressor import restrictions create a structural advantage for LG due to its strong domestic manufacturing capabilities. The B2B business, particularly Information Display and HVAC, continued to gain momentum, with data center cooling representing a long-term opportunity. Supported by a strong balance sheet, premiumization, localization, exports, and manufacturing expansion, management remains confident of sustaining profitable growth despite ongoing macroeconomic challenges.
