It shows the reversal pattern which shows the end of a down trend and shows that the price will move upwards. A cup and handle reversal will form wherein the price has to fall first, round off a bit and then should start to rise. Once it forms the cup, the price then must pause and either move sideways or move lower in a range. This is called as the handle.
