VXX back to January 2020 levels

iPath Series B S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETNArca

Description

Just an update on how the VXX has slowly worked its way down and is now back to the same levels as January 2020.

If you look at the RSI levels, the is a higher low pattern that emerges before a spike. It looks like the same thing is starting to appear again.

Very good robo analysis.
What's your opinion about mine?

@mrAnonymCrypto, What is the indicator on the bottom, volume? The line looks to be the same as one of my main channels. I cleaned it up to make it easier to see.

@Dr_Roboto, That is my personal RSI smooth oscillator with dynamic calculated oversold and overbought levels. I'm publishing it for free to my followers in the near future. Feel free to follow me on tradingviewto get any update about it.

How come the VIX is up 9% and this "mirror" is up 2%? Even accounting for the decay over time this makes little sense, anyone can explain? Are there other ETFS that better mirror the VIX?

On Feb 5th you did some charting using UVXY and on that chart it indicated Buy/Sell with +15, -5, etc...how do you come up with those numbers? I believe on Feb 5th the UVXY was a buy with +10 which I presume means a strong buy.

@happyCloud1537, this one?

I wrote a strategy that uses the cRSI to estimate buy/sell points for any equity. Yes the number represents strength of the buy/sell. I made it publicly available. It works pretty well on stocks, but can be tricky on VXX/UVXY due to their constant decay. I use it to bring my attention to key movements in the RSI and I compare that with my other analysis before I actually buy/sell.

I did buy UVXY last week right around where it says +10 and we had a small gap up. However, UVXY tripped my stop limit later that afternoon. UVXY has been steadily dropping since. This is not a market to bet against.
