XAU/USD: Downtrend Controls, Next Bearish Remain

194
XAUUSD remains trapped inside a clear descending channel, with price continuing to form lower highs and lower lows beneath the Ichimoku cloud. The latest rebound around 4,180 has not changed that structure, so sellers still have the technical advantage.

Rather than chasing price after the recent decline, I’m watching for a corrective rebound into the 4,241–4,330 sell zone. This area overlaps previous structure, the Ichimoku resistance and the upper side of the broader bearish channel.

If Gold reaches this zone but fails to reclaim 4,330, I favor another bearish rotation toward:
🎯 Target: 4,000

Macro Market: the current backdrop supports the bearish structure. Gold is heading toward a second consecutive weekly decline as the US Dollar trades near a 17-month high and Treasury yields remain elevated; the US 10-year yield is around 5.25% after briefly reaching 5.344%, its highest level since 2002. Those conditions continue to restrict upside in non-yielding Gold.

The major event risk is today’s US Nonfarm Payrolls, due at 19:30 Vietnam time. Consensus is roughly +90K jobs with unemployment near 4.1%. A stronger report could revive Fed-hike expectations and reinforce USD/yield pressure on Gold, while a materially weak report could trigger the opposite reaction.

A sustained H4 recovery above 4,330 would weaken this bearish continuation setup.

AURICVERSE View: the trend remains down, but selling the low offers poor location. A rebound into 4,241–4,330 followed by rejection is the cleaner setup; if sellers defend that zone, 4,000 becomes the next major downside objective.
