Gold Price Analysis for October 2:

Strong employment data and dovish remarks from officials are offsetting each other, creating a balance between bullish and bearish factors.

Energy prices and Treasury yields are exerting dual downward pressure.

Key focus for today: Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) data.

My Forecast:

Data meets expectations: Limited impact on gold prices; prices likely to continue fluctuating within the 4130–4200 range.

Data unexpectedly weak: Reinforces expectations of a shift to a dovish stance; gold will test the 4190–4200 range, with a potential breakout if momentum is strong.

Data unexpectedly strong: Dampens rate-cut expectations; gold will retreat to the 4130 area, and if it breaks below this level, the target will shift down to 4100.

Overall Assessment: Gold prices will remain within the 4130–4200 range; the bearish outlook remains unchanged.

Key resistance lies in the 4189–4200 zone.

Initial support is located near 4130–4110.

Range Trading Strategy:

Bearish Strategy:
If gold rebounds to the 4190–4200 zone and shows signs of stalling or pulling back, consider it a short-selling opportunity.
Targets: 4140–4120.
Stop-loss: Above 4210.

Bullish Strategy:
If the price first pulls back to near 4130 and stabilizes, consider a light long position.
Targets: 4160–4170.
Stop-loss: Below 4120.

Avoid blindly chasing trades in the 4150–4170 range before the data release;
A safer approach is to wait for the price to reach key levels before making a decision.
