Mastering the Double Bottom Chart PatternA double bottom, combined with RSI divergence, can be a powerful signal for a trend reversal.
What's a Double Bottom ?
It's when a stock's price forms two distinct lows on a chart.
The pattern is confirmed when prices rise above the peak between those two lows.
Why Does It Matter?
The double bottom marks the end of a downtrend and the start of an uptrend.
It's one of the most common patterns, but it needs careful analysis.
Adding RSI Divergence:
RSI measures a stock's strength and momentum.
Look for RSI to form higher lows while the price forms lower lows. This is RSI divergence and a strong bullish signal.
Key Points to Remember
Downtrend First: The pattern begins in a downtrend.
Time Gap: The longer the time between the two lows, the stronger the reversal signal.
Price Increase: Look for a significant price increase between the two lows (around 10-20%).
Volume Matters: Usually, volume is higher during the first low and increases as the pattern confirms.
Breakout Confirmation: Don't act until prices break above the confirmation point.
Pullback After Breakout: Expect a pullback after the breakout; it's normal.
Trading the Double Bottom with RSI Divergence:
Calculate a target price by adding the pattern's height to the breakout point.
Confirm the pattern only after prices break through the confirmation point.
Be patient; not all patterns are double bottoms.
Watch for volume during the pattern's development.
Pay attention to RSI divergence for added confirmation.
Remember: Wait for confirmation, and don't rush into trades based solely on patterns. It's wise to use multiple indicators, including RSI, and keep an eye on market conditions.

Cup and Handle chart patternThis chart pattern is shaped like and resembles like a cup and handle that's why its named the same as cup and handle chart pattern.
Shape:
A “U” shaped bottom is preferred over a “V” shaped bottom as it indicates more consolidation. Ideally, the highs on either side of the cup should be equal.
Duration of formation:
The cup can take anywhere from 1 to 6 months to form, while the handle should take 1-4 weeks.
Confirmation:
The pattern is confirmed as bullish when the price breaks above the previous highs (the neckline) with strong volume. A buying opportunity arises when the price moves above the old resistance level (right side of the cup).
Volume:
Volume should decrease as prices fall to form the base of the cup and remain below average. As the price begins to rise again, volume should increase.
Target:
The profit target is calculated based on the depth of the cup. Measure the distance from the bottom of the cup to the neckline and extend that distance upward from the breakout level.
Also it can give sometimes three times of depth of the cup.
Risk Management:
A stop-loss can be placed at the bottom of the handle or below a swing low within the handle if there were multiple price oscillations.

A Comprehensive Guide to Descending Triangle.NSE:AMBUJACEM
A reliable bearish trend continuation pattern is known as Descending Triangle.
This post will cover these questions:
1. What is Descending pattern?
2. How to identify Descending Triangle?
3. Pre-requisite of pattern formation.
4. Trading Tactics.
1.What is Descending pattern?
#The descending triangle is a bearish formation that usually forms a continuation pattern during a downtrend.
#Descending triangles also sometimes function as reversal patterns at the end of an up trend, but typically they
are continuation patterns.
#Descending triangles are bearish in nature.
The descending triangle pattern here indicates that the buyers are not as aggressive as the sellers, so the price continues to generate lower highs. This shows that the demand for related security is falling.
2. How to identify Descending Triangle?
(a.) Drawing trendlines.
The bottom horizontal line (support line) is formed by two or more almost equal price lows, while the descending
trend line (resistance line) is formed by two or more declining highs.
(b.) what are Base and apex?
-The base is the vertical line drawn from the flat support trendline to the starting point (Resistance line) of the descending trend.
-The point at which both converging lines meet is called the apex point.
-The breakout should happen around 2/3 size of the whole pattern.
3. Pre-requisite of pattern formation.
(a.) Existence of prior trend.
It is very important to identify the previous trend, an established prior trend should
exist cause it's a continuation pattern. look for the pattern in a downtrend with a forecast of breakdown
from the horizontal line.
(b.)Volume pattern
While the pattern is forming the volume diminishes.
volume declines as the pattern develop and the price swings back and forth between an increasingly narrow range of
lower highs and similar lows.
However, there is a noticeable expansion in volume when the downside break occurs.
(c.) Retracement Moves.
The chances of a retracement move are very less in this pattern.
After the breakout the price can move again towards the breakdown zone to test the validity of the breakout,
on breakout the support is broken and when the price retraces the support becomes resistance and the price start moving
in the breakout direction.
4. Trading Tactics.
The entry will be below the support level and use protective stop loss above important resistance level,
or it can be above 50% of pattern range.
Minimum Take profit is the projected Base Line.
Use position sizing according to your stoploss level.

Happy trading.

Symmetrical TriangleA symmetrical triangle is a chart pattern characterized by two converging trend lines connecting a series of sequential peaks and troughs. These trend lines should be converging at a roughly equal slope.
How to identify a Symmetrical Triangle correctly
1.The sides of the triangle slope equally (that's why it's symmetrical)
2.The triangle has lower highs AND higher lows – at least two of each.
3.It looks like a funnel, with the price “squeezing” from the left towards the right.
Rounding Bottom PatternThe Rounding Bottom is a long-term reversal pattern that is best suited for weekly charts. It is also referred to as a saucer bottom, and represents a long consolidation period that turns from a bearish bias to a bullish bias.
1. Decline: The first portion of the rounding bottom is the decline that leads to the low of the pattern.
2. Low: The low of the rounding bottom can resemble a “V” or "U" bottom, but should not be too sharp and should take a few weeks to form.
3. Advance: The advance off of the lows forms the right half of the pattern and should take about the same amount of time as the prior decline.
4. Breakout: Bullish confirmation comes when the pattern breaks above the reaction high that marked the beginning of the decline at the start of the pattern. To trade this pattern look for the neckline that is marked on the chart. Once the price breaks through and a candle closes above the neckline, you can then enter the market with a buy order.
5. Volume: Volume levels are not too important on the decline, but there should be an increase in volume on the advance and preferably on the breakout.
6. Target: Add the height of the rounded bottom to the breakout point for an estimated upside target.
7. Stop Loss: The stop loss is placed below the neckline of the pattern. When the price trades below this point, there is less chance of this pattern’s functionality. It’s better to exit the market.
The rounded bottom are reversal patterns which identify the completion of the trend and indicate a possible reversal point on price chart. The rounded bottom signals that the existing downtrend is about to finish and the possibility of an uptrend to commence. It resembles a clear “U” image.
Shooting Star - Complete GuideWhat is the Shooting Star candlestick pattern?
A shooting star candlestick pattern is a chart formation that occurs when an asset’s market price is pushed up quite significantly, but then rejected and closed near the open price. This creates a long upper wick, a small lower wick and a small body.
The upper wick must take up at least half of the length of the candlestick for it to be considered a shooting star. And, it must appear at the top of an uptrend. As a result, the shooting star candlestick pattern is often thought to be a possible signal of bearish reversal. This means an uptrend might not continue (prices may fall).
Traders should be careful not to confuse the shooting star pattern with an inverted hammer candlestick pattern. They both have a longer upper wick and small body. But the inverted hammer indicates bullish as opposed to bearish reversal. Also, the inverted hammer is often seen at the bottom of a downtrend.
How to recognize it:
i) Little to no lower shadow
ii) The price closes at the bottom ¼ of the range
iii) The upper shadow is about 2 or 3 times the length of the body
What does Shooting Star tells you ?
i) Shooting stars signals a potential downside reversal
ii)A shooting star opens and rises strongly during the trading session, showing the same buying pressure that is seen over the last trading sessions. At the end of the trading session, the sellers push the price down near the open.
or
At the buying climax, huge selling pressure stepped in and pushed price lower. The selling pressure is so strong that it closed below the opening price.
In short, a Shooting Star is a bearish reversal candlestick pattern that shows rejection of higher price.
Before trading with the shooting star, one should remember the following points:
Trade Entry: Before you enter a shooting star trade, you should confirm that the prior trend is an active bullish trend. Entry is below the Shooting Star candle low.
Stop Loss: Place Stop Loss just above the high of Shooting Star candle or above recent high.
Taking Profits: Minimum target is the size of the Shooting Star candle. I generally prefer 1:2 as first target. Best way to ride the move is to sit till any bullish signal is sensed. You can target previous swing lows or support zone.

High Probability Scenario:-
i)Focus on the major Resistance levels, that’s where traders get trapped
When you trade The Shooting Star candlestick pattern, you want to focus on trading the major Resistance levels (the ones which can be seen on the higher timeframe). When a level is obvious and the price breaks out of it, many traders will hop on the bandwagon and buy the breakout (hoping to catch a piece of the move). However, if the price makes a false breakout, this group of traders is trapped, and their stops will trigger strong selling pressure.
Now, this is to your advantage because The Shooting Star candlestick pattern allows you to trade the false breakout and profit from “trapped” traders.
So the more obvious the level, the more traders will get trapped — and you make more money.
Conclusion
So here’s what you’ve learned today:
The Shooting Star candlestick is a bearish reversal pattern that shows rejection of higher prices.
Just because you a spot a Shooting Star candlestick pattern doesn’t mean you go short immediately because you must also consider the context of the markets. Confirmation to go short is always below shooting star candle's low.
Set your stop loss slightly above shooting star candle or above previous highs.
Reversal Pattern - Three inside UpThe three inside up pattern is a bullish reversal pattern composed of a large down candle, a smaller up candle contained within the
prior candle, and then another up candle that closes above the close of the second candle.
These patterns are short-term in nature, and may not always result in a significant or even minor trend change.
Consider using these patterns within the context of an overall trend. For example, use the three inside up during a pullback in an overall uptrend.
REASON -
The downtrend continues on the first candle with a large sell-off posting new lows. This discourages buyers, while sellers grow confident.
The second candle opens within the prior candle's trading range. Rather than following through to the downside, it closes higher than the prior close and the current open. This price action raises a red flag, which some short-term short sellers may use an opportunity to exit.
The third candle completes a bullish reversal, trapping remaining short-sellers and attracting those who are interested in establishing a long position.
