USDJPY EA MAN UPDATE > READ THE CHAPTIAN Key Observations:
Resistance Level: The price is testing a key resistance zone around 150.026, where selling pressure could emerge.
EMA Confluence: The price is currently above both the 30 EMA (149.639, red) and 200 EMA (149.339, blue), indicating an overall bullish trend.
Projected Bearish Move: A rejection from the resistance zone could lead to a pullback towards the 149.117 support level, aligning with the potential short-term bearish scenario.
If price fails to break above the resistance and starts forming lower highs, a move towards the target point at 149.117 could unfold.
USDJPY - POTENTIAL REVERSAL FROM KEY SUPPORT LEVELSSymbol - USDJPY
CMP - 147.82
Following a significant decline in USDJPY, The price is approaching a strong support zone which is held since July 2024. The fundamental environment has been volatile recently, with a predominant influence from Trump's tariffs & US economic factors. Given the recent price action near support zone 148.00 - 147.00, there is a possibility that the pair could rebound from this level. The market’s current hesitation near this support zone suggests that the bulls may be preparing to defend this area.
The aggressive sell-off in US dollar, while exerting downward pressure, is also at oversold levels & creating a scenario where a potential reversal could take place, supported by the decline of Japanese Yen. Should the price manage to hold above the 147.20 support, it could signal the reversal.
From a technical perspective, there are two potential triggers on the chart: one signaling a buy and the other signaling a sell. However, given the prevailing global and local forex trends, the preference is to take a long position.
Resistance levels: 148.85, 150.00
Support levels: 147.25, 146.90
At present, the market is in a downtrend, with potential for a counter-trend correction. The direction of the price will depend on the US dollar's performance and upcoming economic news. If the outcome is favorable, the price could potentially reach to 150.00 & 152.15 levels.
Looking for sellside in USDJPY...Hello traders!
Yen gave the draw targets as I had previously outlined on X and TradingView & now we're looking for sellside.
As long as price is held below the daily ifvg, I'm bearish.
Already executed a scalp today on the 15 seconds chart in alignment with the said draw.

USDJPY - A REBOUND FOLLOWING DOLLAR STRENGTHSymbol - USDJPY
CMP - 150.25
USDJPY pair is experiencing an upward movement in line with the performance of the US dollar. A temporary reversal is currently unfolding, driven by domestic political and economic factors in the United States.
The price is consolidating in the range of 149.40 - 148.60 after a significant decline. This long-term consolidation is creating a reversal pattern, further supported by the reversal and strengthening of the US dollar. Consequently, the Japanese yen is losing ground.
Key resistance is located at 150.30, should the bulls manage to maintain support above this level, there is potential for further price appreciation toward trend resistance in the short to medium term.
Resistance levels: 150.30, 150.95
Support levels: 149.40, 149.15
At present, the market is in a downtrend, with potential for a counter-trend correction. The direction of the price will depend on the US dollar's performance and upcoming economic news. If the outcome is favorable, the price could potentially reach 152.30
USDJPY - RETEST OF RESISTANCE BEFORE FURTHER FALLSymbol - USDJPY
The USD/JPY pair has disrupted the previous bullish market structure, with the U.S. dollar currently in a correction phase, which positively impacts the market. The pair is approaching a retest of the trendline that was recently broken, following a strong impulse move.
On Thursday, the Japanese yen reached a 10-week high, causing the USDJPY pair to decline to 149.50 This move is attributed to increased demand for safe-haven assets amidst escalating trade tensions, driven by U.S. President Donald Trump's aggressive tariff policies. Additionally, the yen has gained further strength, bolstered by market expectations of a potential interest rate hike by the Bank of Japan, making the currency more attractive to investors.
At present, attention is focused on the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement resistance zone at 150.95, as well as the previously broken upward support level.
Key Support Levels: 149.50, 148.64
Key Resistance Levels: 150.95, 151.40
It is likely that the price will first test the previously broken support zone, now acting as resistance between 150.95 and 151.40, before any potential decline. A false breakout of these critical Fibonacci zones could lead to further downward movement in the pair.

USDJPY running for buystops... Hello traders!
One of the models I use got triggered on the 1h timeframe once the breaker failed. Expected draw and everything else mentioned on the chart pretty clearly.
I expect the market to reach the buystops resting at 150.739 , and expect the market to tap into the daily ifvg and the daily sibi .
For the daily -ifvg to act as proper inversion, I don't expect teh market to trade above the CE of the gap and hence the expected target of 150.810 .

USDJPY - TRADING AT SUPPORT LEVELSSymbol - USDJPY
USDJPY has encountered support and appears to have staged a false breakdown of the lower boundary of the prevailing local trend. At present, the dollar is strengthening, which could present an opportunity for the currency pair to appreciate. The price is consolidating in a strong support zone, and the fundamental environment has been volatile recently, with a predominant influence from U.S. economic factors. Meanwhile, the prospect of interest rate hikes in Japan has largely been disregarded, with market participants focusing more on economic data from the West.
From a technical perspective, there are two potential triggers on the chart: one signaling a buy and the other signaling a sell. However, given the prevailing upward global and local trends, the preference is to take a long position. Should the currency pair manage to secure a close above the 151.90 - 151.95 range, we can anticipate further upward movement towards the target levels shown on the chart in both the short and medium terms.
Resistance levels: 151.95, 153.70, 154.00
Support levels: 151.00, 149.52
However, if the dollar continues its correction and the bulls fail to maintain the false support breakdown, a price return to 150.95 could trigger a support break, leading to a potential decline towards 148.60

USDJPY - RETEST OF SUPPORT BREAKDOWN. SELLING AHEAD?Symbol - USDJPY
USDJPY is unable to maintain its uptrend for the time being. Speculation about potential actions from the Bank of Japan is expected to surface. Meanwhile, the US dollar continues to strengthen. The 158.45 level represents a significant resistance formed by bears, who are still exerting pressure on the market. This week, we anticipate active measures from the Bank of Japan, particularly an interest rate hike. While such actions are relatively rare, they could provide strong support for the currency pair. If Japan proceeds with this move, the pair may continue its correction from the 0.5 - 0.7 Fibonacci levels. In this case, key targets could include the zones at 153.25 and 152
Resistance levels: 156.55, 157.22
Support level: 155
A price drop below 155 could trigger aggressive selling. The rate decision in Japan is set for Friday, and until then, the price may remain in a consolidation phase.

USD/JPY Rebounds as JPY Weakens Amid Market OptimismThe Japanese Yen (JPY) weakened after reaching a one-month high against the US Dollar and remained steady during the first European trading session on Tuesday. A general positive sentiment in the stock markets turned out to be the main factor weakening the safe-haven JPY. This, along with a modest recovery of the US Dollar (USD) from its two-week lows, helped the USD/JPY pair rise back above the 155.00 level.
However, any significant depreciation of JPY seems to be limited due to growing bets that the Bank of Japan (BoJ) will raise interest rates later this week. Furthermore, comments from US President Donald Trump on tariffs have sparked concerns about a trade war, along with declining US Treasury yields, which may help limit the losses for JPY. Traders may also choose to wait for the important two-day BoJ meeting starting on Thursday.
JPY eased slightly ahead of Trump's inaugurationThe Japanese Yen (JPY) fluctuated between small losses and slight gains against the US dollar, with the USD/JPY pair trying to stabilize around the 156.15-156.20 range during the early European trading session on Monday. Core machinery orders in Japan increased for the second consecutive month, signaling further recovery in capital spending. This, along with bets that the Bank of Japan (BoJ) will raise interest rates later this week, provided a modest boost for the JPY.
Additionally, a fresh round of US dollar (USD) selling contributed to the day’s decline in USD/JPY. However, a generally positive risk tone and the uncertainty surrounding the trade policy of incoming US President Donald Trump limited any significant upward movement for the safe-haven JPY. Traders also seem hesitant ahead of Trump’s inauguration speech on Monday and the highly anticipated BoJ two-day policy meeting starting on Thursday.
From a technical perspective, Friday’s recovery from the support level marked by the lower boundary of the long-standing uptrend channel is slowing down near the 156.55-156.60 region. This area now serves as the immediate resistance, and a new short-sell position could allow the USD/JPY pair to reclaim the round number of 157.00.
USD/JPY 15-Minute Chart AnalysisKey Observations:
1. Trendline Break:
- A potential break below the upward trendline indicates bearish momentum.
2. Supply Zone:
- The price is trading within a highlighted supply zone.
3. Short Trade Setup:
- A short position will be active after breakdown, with the following targets and stop-loss:
- Stop-Loss: Above 157.440
- Target 1: 156.76
- Target 2: 156.493
- Target 3: 156.100
---
Trading Scenarios:
1. Bearish Continuation:
- If the price sustains below 157.030, bearish momentum is likely to accelerate toward 156.100.
2. Invalidation of Bearish Setup:
- A move above 157.6 would invalidate this bearish setup, signaling a potential bullish reversal.
---
Trading Plan:
- Entry (Sell): Below 157.030, targeting 156.810, 156.500, and 156.090.
- **Stop-Loss**: Above **157.436**.
---
This trade setup is in line with bearish market structure, but closely monitor price action around support levels and trailing stop-loss adjustments as the trade progresses.

USDJPY: Approaching Key Support at 150.000USDJPY is trading around 150.038, testing the critical support level at 150.000 after a sharp decline. The EMA 34 (152.215) and EMA 89 (150.899) act as strong resistance, limiting recovery momentum. If this support level is breached, the price may continue to drop toward the 148.000 zone, a significant previous low.
Conversely, if the 150.000 level holds and the pair breaks above the EMA 34, USDJPY could target the 152.000 resistance level. News of the ceasefire in the Middle East has reduced safe-haven demand, putting pressure on the Japanese Yen, while the US Dollar remains strong due to high US Treasury yields. Traders should closely monitor these levels to adjust their strategies accordingly.
Selling Pressure at Resistance, Downtrend Forecasting AheadThe 4-hour chart of USD/JPY shows a clear bearish pattern after the price failed to break above a key resistance level around 152.000. The slight bounce we saw recently may have been a weak attempt to retest this level, but with the lack of strong buying momentum, the price seems to be preparing for a deeper decline.
The rebound and reaction at this resistance area is typical of a distribution market, where previous buyers may be looking to cut their losses, and new sellers are entering the market. The 34 EMA has crossed below the 89 EMA, a sign that the downtrend may continue.
I appreciate the retest of the resistance level and see this as an opportunity to consider short positions. If the price breaks below the current support around 150,280, this could initiate a new bearish phase, towards the next support level around 149,000.
Downtrend and Signals at EMA 89Currently, the price is approaching the EMA 89, a classic sign of a downtrend. This is confirmed by the moving averages, where the EMA 34 has crossed below the EMA 89, a bearish signal.
However, what is noteworthy is that each time the price approaches the EMA 89, it reacts strongly. This tells me that investors may be using this level as a buying opportunity in the hope that the support level will hold.
USDJPY Awaits a Breakout at 155.878
USDJPY is currently trading in a short-term uptrend but is being held back by a descending trendline and the resistance level at 155.878. After bouncing from the strong support at 153.350, the price is now fluctuating around EMA 34 (154.850) and EMA 89 (153.995), reflecting a tug-of-war between buyers and sellers.
Rising U.S. bond yields and the Bank of Japan's dovish policies continue to support the USD, while the Japanese Yen remains under pressure.
The RSI at a neutral level of 51.52 indicates unclear market momentum. If the price breaks above 155.878, the uptrend could strengthen with a target near 157.000. Traders should closely monitor key levels to make informed decisions.
