PCR Trading Strategies1. Introduction to Options
Options are financial derivatives that give the holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell an underlying asset at a predetermined price (strike price) before or on a specific date (expiry). Unlike futures, which require the contract to be fulfilled, options allow flexibility. Options are widely used in stock markets, commodities, currencies, and indices.
2. Types of Options
There are two main types of options:
Call Option: Gives the buyer the right to buy the underlying asset.
Put Option: Gives the buyer the right to sell the underlying asset.
Example: Buying a call option of Tata Motors with a strike price of ₹450 allows you to buy the stock at ₹450, regardless of the market price.
3. Option Participants
Option trading involves two primary participants:
Buyer (Holder): Pays a premium and has the right to exercise the option.
Seller (Writer): Receives the premium and assumes the obligation to fulfill the contract if exercised.
4. Premium in Options
The premium is the price paid by the buyer to acquire the option. It consists of:
Intrinsic value: Difference between strike price and current market price.
Time value: Additional cost for potential future profit until expiry.
Example: If a stock is ₹500, and a call option with a ₹480 strike costs ₹25, the intrinsic value is ₹20, and the time value is ₹5.
5. Strike Price
The strike price is the predetermined price at which the underlying asset can be bought (call) or sold (put). Selecting the right strike price is crucial for option strategies.
6. Expiry Date
Options have a limited life. The expiry date determines the last day the option can be exercised. Indian markets follow weekly, monthly, and quarterly expiries.
7. Moneyness of Options
Options are categorized by their moneyness:
In-the-Money (ITM): Exercise is profitable.
At-the-Money (ATM): Strike price equals underlying price.
Out-of-the-Money (OTM): Exercise is unprofitable.
Example: A call option at ₹480 when the stock trades at ₹500 is ITM.
8. Option Greeks
Option Greeks are metrics that measure risk and price sensitivity:
Delta: Price change sensitivity to the underlying asset.
Gamma: Rate of change of Delta.
Theta: Time decay effect on option premium.
Vega: Sensitivity to volatility.
Rho: Sensitivity to interest rates.
9. Long vs. Short Positions
Long Call/Put: Buying options to profit from upward (call) or downward (put) movement.
Short Call/Put: Selling options to collect premium, often used in hedging.
10. Hedging with Options
Options are widely used for risk management. Investors hedge positions to protect against adverse market movements.
Example: If you own Infosys shares, buying a put option can limit downside risk.
EURUSD – Bearish Channel Continuation on H1EURUSD – Bearish Channel Continuation on H1
Market Overview
EURUSD continues to move steadily within a descending channel, confirming a bearish market structure. Recent recovery attempts have been capped at supply zones, while liquidity remains concentrated at lower price levels. As long as the pair trades inside this channel, the preferred strategy is to look for selling opportunities.
Technical Context
The bearish channel remains intact, with strong seller defence in the 1.1720–1.1790 zone.
Key resistance levels: 1.1753 and 1.1820. Only a clear break above 1.1820 would weaken the bearish scenario.
Downside liquidity targets sit around 1.1630, with extended potential toward 1.1575 if selling pressure accelerates.
Trading Scenarios
🔻 Priority – Sell Setups (with the channel trend)
Sell Setup 1
Entry: 1.1720 – 1.1730
Stop Loss: 1.1750
Take Profit: 1.1695 – 1.1670 – 1.1652 – 1.1630
Sell Setup 2
Entry: 1.1780 – 1.1790
Stop Loss: 1.1810
Take Profit: 1.1755 – 1.1730 – 1.1700 – 1.1675
🔹 Alternative – Buy Setup (countertrend, lower probability)
Buy Setup
Entry: 1.1630 – 1.1620
Stop Loss: 1.1600
Take Profit: 1.1660 – 1.1680 – 1.1700
Note: This setup is only valid if price tests the demand zone around 1.1620–1.1630, which could trigger a short-term corrective bounce.
Risk Management & Outlook
Primary Bias: Stay bearish while price action remains within the channel.
Invalidation: A confirmed H1/H4 close above 1.1820 invalidates the bearish view.
Target: A decisive breakdown below 1.1630 could pave the way towards 1.1575.
✅ Conclusion:
EURUSD remains in a clear downtrend. The main strategy is to sell rallies into resistance zones, targeting lower liquidity areas. Long positions can be considered only at strong demand levels, and should be treated as short-term corrective trades rather than a trend reversal.
AUDNZD Trading Idea – Momentum & Liquidity OutlookThe pair has been in a clear expansion phase, showing strength after multiple structure breaks. Momentum has favored the upside, while recent consolidation reflects market participants taking profits and rebalancing orders.
A corrective wave appears to be unfolding, which is typical after strong impulsive moves. Such phases often allow liquidity collection before the next directional expansion. The broader sentiment suggests that buyers are still active, but short-term volatility may create temporary pullbacks.
Educational Note: Markets move in cycles of impulse and correction. Recognizing these phases helps traders avoid chasing moves and instead prepare for continuation opportunities once the correction stabilizes.
USDJPY TRADE || M15 SETUPPrice aggressively retraced after a sharp bullish rally, sweeping equal lows and tapping into a refined demand zone. Now showing a bullish reaction from the zone with clean imbalance above acting as draw on liquidity.
🔹 Key Notes:
– Liquidity grab below short-term low ✅
– Demand zone tapped + bullish order block ✅
– Imbalance above as target ✅
– Tight SL, favorable RR
Looking for price to push back into premium levels, filling inefficiency and taking out internal liquidity on the way up.
GBPUSD – Medium-Term H1/H4 Technical Outlook
Overview: GBPUSD has recently broken below its ascending trendline/channel after failing to sustain momentum near the 1.3530–1.3575 supply zone. At present, price is testing the 0.618 retracement (~1.3366), while the RSI (5) is heavily oversold (~13–14). This signals the possibility of a short-term bounce before the broader bearish bias resumes.
For Indian traders who follow GBPUSD closely, the focus should remain on selling rallies into resistance while being open to buying intraday dips at clearly defined liquidity levels.
Market Structure & Key Observations
Trendline Break: The bullish channel has been violated, shifting momentum to a “sell-the-rally” strategy.
Resistance Zones: 1.3537 and 1.3453–1.3428 (strong supply levels).
Support Zones: Initial support at 1.3366 (Fib 0.618) and 1.3319; major demand lies at 1.3143–1.3093.
Momentum Check: Deep oversold RSI could trigger corrective recoveries, making intraday scalps attractive.
Trading Plan
Sell the Rally – Primary Bias
Entry: 1.3500 – 1.3510
Stop Loss: 1.3550
Take Profit: 1.3480 – 1.3466 – 1.3445 – 1.3430
📌 Idea: Short entries on retest of broken structure. Only invalid if we see a 4H close above 1.3550.
Buy the Dip – Intraday Scalping
Entry: 1.3310 – 1.3330
Stop Loss: 1.3290
Take Profit: 1.3355 – 1.3368 – 1.3390 – 1.3410
📌 Idea: Quick long trades from liquidity near 1.3319, targeting minor resistance.
Buy Deeper Liquidity Sweep – Swing Setup
Entry: 1.3090 – 1.3110
Stop Loss: 1.3050
Take Profit: 1.3135 – 1.3160 – 1.3200 – 1.3240
📌 Idea: If the market flushes into the 1.3143–1.3093 demand zone, expect stronger bounce potential.
Risk Management & Invalidation
Above 1.3550 (4H close) → Bearish bias invalidated.
Strong breakdown below 1.3310 → Skip scalps, focus on deeper buy zones.
Partial profit booking at each target is recommended to protect capital.

EURUSD BUY PLANPair: EURUSD
Current Price: 1.17415
🔹 Market Context
Price is currently reacting at a very important Order Block (OB) zone.
Daily trend is bullish and aligns with the 4H structure, adding confluence for upside continuation.
Market is showing good upside momentum from this level.
🔹 Trade Idea
Buy Bias → Looking for long opportunities from this OB zone.
Stop Loss (SL): 1.17180 (below OB & structure protection).
Entry Trigger: Wait for Fractal Structure Breaks on lower timeframes to confirm buyers stepping in.
🔹 Plan Execution
Mark OB zone on 4H + Daily.
Drop to 15m / 5m to watch for fractal structure breaks and bullish confirmation.
Enter on confirmation, targeting clean liquidity levels above.
Maintain proper risk management (max 1–2% per trade).
🔹 Summary
EURUSD is at a high-probability buy zone with HTF trend alignment, OB support, and momentum confluence. Waiting for fractal confirmation will filter out weak setups and give us a precise entry.
GBP/AUD WEEKPLAN: Best Sell Zone Short StoplossFootprint Analysis OANDA:GBPAUD
Previous Trend: The candles before the 18th showed an uptrend. Specifically, the candle on the 17th had a strong positive Delta (+5.24K), with the buy volume (green) dominating the sell volume (red) at most price levels. This confirms that buyers were in control and pushed the price up.
Order Flow Shift: Starting with the candle on the 18th, there was a clear change. This candle had a negative Delta (-1.55K), indicating that selling pressure had started to take over again. Although the total volume remained high, the Delta shows that selling pressure was strengthening.
Current Trend (19th): The most recent candle has a positive Delta (+2.07K). This is very important. It shows that after a day of strong selling pressure, buyers have returned. The large buy volume (green) at lower price levels compared to the recent high indicates that buyers are "accumulating" at a lower price. This is a sign that a recovery may be underway.
In summary of the Footprint: The Footprint data confirms a short-term correction (due to the negative Delta), but the return of a positive Delta shows that buying pressure has returned. This aligns with a scenario where the price retraces to a strong support zone before continuing the uptrend.
OANDA:GBPAUD SMC Plan Analysis
Market Structure Analysis
Change of Character (M-ChoCH): The price changed its structure from bearish to bullish by breaking the most recent high, marked as "M-ChoCH".
Break of Structure (BOS): After the ChoCH, the price continued to rise and broke a higher high, creating a new "BOS," which confirms that the uptrend is still strong.
Current Trend: The price has created a new high and is in a corrective phase, retracing to a strong support zone.
Identification of Key Zones
Support/Buy Zone:
Location: The price range is from ~2.0420 to ~2.0440.
Significance: This is the most important Order Block (OB) zone. It was formed right after the BOS and shows signs of buying pressure returning (confirmed by the recent positive Delta on the Footprint). This is the highest-potential area to consider for a long entry.
Resistance/Sell Zone:
Location: There are two main zones. The first is the recent price range of ~2.0480 to ~2.0500. The second is located at a higher peak, around ~2.0650 to ~2.0690.
Significance: The first zone is where the price might have a minor reaction and continue to correct toward the BUY ZONE. The second zone is the target for a long trade, where potential sell orders are placed.
Detailed Trading Plan
Primary Scenario (Long Trade):
Entry: Wait for the price to pull back to the BUY ZONE (~2.0420 - 2.0440).
Reasoning: This is a strong Order Block zone where the price has already shown signs of a buy reaction (confirmed by the positive Delta on the Footprint).
Take Profit:
TP1: The nearest high (~2.0550).
TP2: The higher SELL ZONE (~2.0650 - 2.0690).
Stop Loss: Place it below the nearest low (below the BUY ZONE), around ~2.0390, for risk management.
Secondary Scenario (Short-Term Short Trade):
Strategy: A short-term trade, against the main trend.
Entry: Consider a short-term sell trade if the price reacts to the lower SELL ZONE (~2.0480 - 2.0500).
Reasoning: This zone could act as temporary resistance, pushing the price down to fill the BUY ZONE.
Take Profit: The BUY ZONE (~2.0420).
Stop Loss: Place it above the SELL ZONE, around ~2.0520.
Conclusion:
The combination of SMC and Footprint analysis shows that GBPAUD is in a strong uptrend, and the current downward phase is a healthy correction. The Footprint has confirmed the return of buying pressure, which reinforces the primary trading plan to wait for a buy entry at the strong Order Block zone.
