UBS Sees Canada GDP Growth at 5.3% This Year, at 5.8% in 2022, at 3.5% in 2023; Gives Also CPI, Current Account, Deficit, Estimates
UBS said it expected Canada's gross domestic product (GDP) to grow by 5.3% this year, by 5.8% in 2022 and by 3.5% in 2023.
Canada's GDP contracted by 5.3% last year.
The bank added the country's consumer price index () was forecasted at 3.4% this year, at 3.5% in 2022 and at 1.5% in 2023.
The current account as a percentage of GDP was seen at -0.6% this year, flat in 2022 and at 0.6% in 2023, according to UBS. The fiscal deficit as a percentage of GDP was predicted at -6.2% this year, at -5.0% in 2022 and at -0.1% in 2023.
