STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex SENSEX fell 76.42 points, or 0.13%, to 60,782.01, while the broader NSE index
NIFTY lost 24.2 points, or 0.13%, to 18,083.65, tracking a slide in global equities on fears of an aggressive stance by central banks worldwide and in reaction to key corporate earnings.
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee USDINR strengthened 0.11% versus the U.S. dollar, and quoted at 81.27 per dollar, helped by the subdued dollar and the weak U.S. data.
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
Benchmark 10-year bond (IN072632G=CC) was quoted at 99.49 rupees, with yield up 2 bps at 7.3345%; vs previous close of 7.3137%, as traders cut positions ahead of debt supply.
OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS:
The one-year overnight indexed swap rate (INRAMONMI1Y=) was up 1 bps at 6.63%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate (INRSMONMI5Y=) rose 4 bps to 6.13%.
CALL MONEY/REPOS:
India's overnight call money (INROND=) rate was up 15 bps at 6.20% against 6.05% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS rate (INTREPTOT=TCCL) was at 6.22%, compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.0106%.
