Volatility Adjusted Moving Average - JD

Euro Fx/U.S. DollarFXCM

Description

@version=3
This indicator gives an adjusted moving average, based on the volatility of the past x amount of bars, measured against the ema of a certain length.
The idea came out of my VA adjusted Bands indicator where the VAMA is actually the center line.

I scripted the moving average as a function so it is easy to inport into other scripts,
Feel free to use it in your scripts and experiment with it,
of cousre, if you want to publish your script, a little mention in the notes is always appreciated.

At first view I might add some smoothing otions and
a couple of different ma options as a base anchor in future releases.
If you have any other ideas for further development,... let me know!!

I'm not satisfied with any one moving average yet. For the longest time i found the 15 EMA to work so well (and it's still hard to beat the stability it offers), however it's not dynamic enough for fast moving markets. I'm looking for a MA that bounces a little more on the bottom and tops of trends and also keeps up with the volatility. Your MAs are the best i've tried and i've tried most. One thing I would like to try is a MA that allows a manual adjust ment (or dynamic input/adjustment from another indicator) of both the weight of the volume and volatility. It think would allow for unlimited possibilities. Another way i'm thinking to accomplish what i'm looking for is a way to dynamically adjust the MA length based on a dynamic input without repainting, I don't think anyone else is doing this.

As a reference, the corresponding "base anchor" moving average (the 50 ema) is added on the chart.

NOTE: in the new screenshot (of the 2 VAMA's) the 50 ema is no longer on the chart. (just to clarify!)
