Please view VC. Contraction is UP-DOWN-UP Candles, apply a rectangle there then draw a line across. Google search contraction and expansion. You’ll get an idea on how it works. I’ve checked in different time frames this indicator VC and does pin point to the contraction.
Choose any time frame. Apply a rectangle to a higher time frame then reduce the time frame, you’ll then get the bigger picture of where your at.

@StockRuler, Suppose VC is appearing on Top of any candle then one need to draw a rectangle with High & Low as Width & length of rectangle & when price breaks above the High of VC candle one need to take trade, is it correct?

@Daniel1973, please see examples, search on google: there’s a lot of details to say. There are contractions and VC. Usually on a VC price dips but not always because that’s up to smart money and contraction can sometimes do the same but most of the time it always dips, especially on a higher time frame. HL is price action, in my opinion it has nothing to do with VC and contraction because the best way to enter a trade is on a bullish LL which is usually at the bottom of the VC and contraction. Always remember, indicators are only served for guidance and never to enter a trade. Price action is the best way. Cheers
