How to trade on TradingView

TradingView gives you a wide range of tools and features for analysis and trading. You can connect multiple top brokers and crypto exchanges right from Supercharts and use all the platform's capabilities. You can be sure that all your broker credentials remain safe — TradingView doesn't process your trades and acts as an interface only.

Learn the basics

Before you jump straight to trading, get familiar with the technical analysis essentials and read about fundamental analysis. Both are used by traders and investors and can help you find answers to different questions — from target price levels and potential direction to more precise entries and exits.

Then choose assets and symbols to trade and test your skills with our risk-free trading simulator.

Choose a broker

While on Supercharts, click the "Trade" button at the top toolbar. You'll see the list of licensed and verified brokers, but we suggest selecting Paper Trading, which is designed to help you develop your trading strategy before moving to real-money trading.

If you feel ready to take the leap, read how to choose a broker to make the right decision.

Set the charts

Open the symbol search and select symbols you need for your analysis. You can add them to your watchlist to track them on a regular basis.

Read the latest market news and follow the Economic Calendar to understand the market. Apply indicators and drawing tools to structure your thoughts and visualize possibilities.

You can place a trade using different methods: via the order ticket, leveraging chart trading, shortcuts, and using more methods, depending on which method you prefer.

Oh, and one last thing...

Each TradingViewer can take part in our risk-free trading competition to test their strategy and win real-money prizes. Visit the competitions hub, choose a competition, and prove your edge.
