It operates through the following segments: Retail, Office, Industrial, GHPH, GSAH, Trading and Development, Total South Africa, Australia, United Kingdom, V&A Waterfront, and Central and Eastern Europe. The Retail segment comprises shopping centers with the balance being vacant land or standalone single-tenanted properties. The Office segment includes high-rise and low-rise offices, office parks, office warehouses, hospitals as well as mixed-use properties comprising both office and retail. The Industrial segment focuses on warehousing, industrial parks, retail warehousing, motor-related outlets, low and high-grade industrial, high-tech industrial as well as mini, midi and maxi units. The GHPH segment refers to Growthpoint healthcare portfolio comprises of six hospitals and one medical chamber building. The GSAH segment refers to Growthpoint student accommodation portfolio consists of nine purpose-built student accommodation properties situated in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. The Trading and Development covers the Growthpoint trading and development portfolio and consists of five properties. The V&A Waterfront segment comprises 123-hectare mixed-use property development situated in and around the historic Victoria and Alfred Basin, which formed Cape Town's original harbor. The company was founded on October 12, 1987, and is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa.
