STOCKS:

The benchmark BSE Sensex SENSEX rose 34.56 points, or 0.05%, to 73,698.28, while the broader NSE index NIFTY gained 1.05 points, or 0.00%, to 22,404.9 tracking subdued moves in Asian stocks as a rally triggered by hopes of U.S. interest rate cuts cooled down.

RUPEE:

The Indian rupee USDINR strengthened 0.01% versus the U.S. dollar, and quoted at 83.50 per dollar, as likely RBI intervention helped counter pressure from weakness in Asian peers.

GOVERNMENT BONDS:

The benchmark 10-year bond (IN071833G=CC) was quoted at 100.64 rupees, with the yield up 1 bps at 7.0821% with traders awaiting a fresh supply of debt.

OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:

The one-year overnight index swap rate (INRAMONMI1Y=) was up 1 bps at 6.76%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate (INRSMONMI5Y=) fell 2 bps to 6.34%.

CALL MONEY/REPOS:

India's overnight call money (INROND=) rate was up 30 bps at 6.75%. The overnight TREPS rate (INTREPTOT=TCCL) was at 6.69%, compared with the previous day's weighted average of 6.2454%.
