I was looking for a trading account to link to Trading View and Moomoo seemed to have the best deal with a bunch of free stocks and 8.1% interest on cash for 60 days, but it's been a bunch of crap. You need a margin account in order to link to trading view, which no prob, and they said I'm approved, they gave me a margin account with ZERO dollars. WTH? I opened my account with $2K cash, asked a rep what I need to have money in my margin account and she says "you're margin account is zero." No s*** that's why I'm asking! They seem to have no clue. With my $2,000 cash I'm earning 4.5% interest, which, whatever, I mostly wanted this account to trade with - but still the ad said 8.1%. Free stocks- yeah I can see them, but I cannot have them until I've kept $1,000 in the account for 60 days. Don't get me wrong, if I get the stocks in 60 days, then thank you. And 4.5% interest is better than nothing but I can get that rate anywhere (and the ad was misleading).

30-Oct-2024 Update: Disclosure: I received reward points from Moomoo as part of a promotional offer in exchange for writing this review, per FTC guidelines (16 CFR § 255.5). The reward points were offered to all reviewers and could be redeemed for credit within the app. This review represents my personal and honest experience with the product, as required by FTC endorsement standards. Unfortunate Update: On July 20 2024, Moomoo staff decided (for unclear reasons) to escalate what had been me voluntarily leaving the platform while helping others avoid repeating my mistake to a (albeit brief) attempt at retaliation / extortion. TL;DR: Moomoo tried to implement cold call debt collection company tactics, including harassment and an implied threat to refuse to allow withdrawal of legally settled cash. Be even more careful. I have not had any personal communication with Moomoo since July 15th 2024 until they made repeated phone calls to me with a VOIP number spoofed to be coming from New Hampshire of all places. I thought it was a simple spam call (as my phone correctly labeled it) but the number immediately called back after rejecting the call. After rejecting the 2nd call, I received an SMS from a number used by Moomoo prior opening with "Hello! This is moomoo, your stock trading platform. We have been attempting to contact you regarding your withdrawal earlier today. May we proceed with this text message?" Moomoo staff should have known my account is banned from opening new positions. It was at that point I realized they were most likely leaving a veiled threat to seize my funds through claiming the transfer can't be completed successfully. These are all tactics debt collectors use in the US. I left an open invitation to discuss in written correspondence via SMS or Email. Conversation ceased and the transfer went through

The app is extremely cluttered and difficult to use, which makes the trading experience very unpleasant. I much prefer the clean interface that Robinhood has, and wish MooMoo would incorporate cleaner, simpler visuals. I also found the promotions that Moomoo has and the coupons extremely difficult to use with unclear instructions. Thankfully, the Moomoo customer service chat has always been very helpful, but overall, they make the app very confusing and difficult to use.

Very good broker. Super customer service. Very good informational and Learning articles. An awesome mobile app. Would love to see improvements for the Windows app, but I’m so used to using the mobile app that it’s fine without the Windows app.

Need to be able to change account if multiple accounts in brokerage. Need ability to utilize stop loss and take profit.

I have used this platform since the first day that I started trading. Being Able to trade all of the hours of the stock market, Premarket, regular hours, and postmarket, is in invaluable. And they have never charged for the services like a couple of the other platforms that I use. Through time, over the last several years, this platform has really kept up with the technology that is necessary for Successful trading, such as technical analysis, charting, ETF, options flows, the orderbook, But yet they have managed to Keep the ease of Use. Buying and selling stocks is extremely easy and right at your fingertips. I have never had any connectivity issues with the Internet and I live in the middle of nowhere and I have Terrible Internet service. But I have never missed a trade or a trade price Due to connectivity issues. When anybody asks Me which platform I think is the best, hands-down it is Moo! And one more point, they are consistently giving away prizes, I’m running contests where you can win real cash in your hands, and Most of all, they really make you feel important No matter how big or how small your portfolio is. You are important to them.

Great platform on Android, I just wish their margin requirement for trading SPX spreads was as low as Schwab's.
