I'm a beginner and started with the demo account. Now I have a small forex account trading 1000 lots. Experience has been fine so far. I especially like the customer service, and trade statistics and download capabilities.

I believe TastyFX is the top broker for me. The spreads are the best for US traders, and they also rebate (and have done so for me!) on spreads based on volume of trades. I really like the TradingView interface and using TastyFX to analyze my trades for any time frame I choose. I have no issue with stability, trade executions, or reporting at all. The only things that keep me from rating a 5 are trailing stops and no copy trading with TradingView. I REALLY need a trade copier! I use it now on the MT4 platform with TastyFX, but MT4 is clunky and it adds steps to my trading. TastyFX is the best for US based FOREX traders in my opinion.

Great broker but I don't like that you can't submit two pending orders simultaneously like other brokers, due to each order requiring separate margin requirements. I trade breakouts of a range on either side, long or short. For me to efficiently trade my strategy, I prefer to set bracket orders for when price chooses a direction to break out of. Once price breaks out of one direction fills my order, I cancel the other order. Other brokers don't restrict based on margin requirement for orders that have not filled yet. Hopefully they consider lifting this restriction in the future.

Easy to use platform, but may need a little more details, and a couple more features for the graphs. Besides that AWESOME

Volume data was integrated shortly after my last review. However, I will not be able to update the Stars since the following issue remains: I am constantly having to log back into my account [TFX] throughout the day when using TradingView [TV]. This is very inconvenient, especially when using timeframes shorter than the Daily. Once I set up my positions all I'm doing is checking in, and, I'm busy outside of trading. Having to log back into my TFX account just about every time I sit down to the charts is at least annoying. I really appreciate the integrity of IG/TastyFX, as compared to most all other USA brokers, but IG should already understand how important workflow is to long-term success in this game. This is not the only review pointing out this issue with TFX and TV, so my hope is that this has already been identified as an issue and is being worked on.

It makes sense why people lean towards sketchy unregulated brokers. I do enjoy TastyFX for its ease of use, simple and quick deposit methods, and easy setup. Especially being able to trade directly on the TV chart. But unfortunately the data is the worst I have ever seen. The price data on the TastyFx app chart versus the trading view data does not match and can range between a 4-12 pip difference (not counting for spread yet), causing the trader to have to hope they execute perfectly each trade. Min. SL settings are inaccurate with orders being rejected stating the min SL is not set, even though it is. I have noticed if the spray is higher than 1.6. you won't be able to trade because it will state your SL is too close, even if it is at the minimum level. Tradingview alerts will trigger and sound WAY before price is near your alert level, I have noticed delays as long as 10 seconds, causing traders to hesitate or get a false signal to enter. When executing a trade, again, even if the spread is 1, your entry might by 1.3 pips away from your execution price, as an example, causing immediate unplanned drawdown. As stated earlier, trading directly on the TV chart is your best shot at getting a good entry. Executing on the TastyFX webpage or the app will never give you accurate trading entries due to missing data and delays. I have not had an issue like this with any other broker I have used in the past. I will continue to educate myself on this broker but may switch to a broker with more transparent and consistent market making data.

Not a great experience so far, The TastyFX charts are broken, with missing candles in between, and TradingView support isn’t very helpful.

Brokers provide access to financial markets and execute trades. They act as intermediaries between traders and exchanges, providing the necessary infrastructure and tools to place buy and sell orders. They offer services such as order execution, market access, research, analysis, and customer support. Additionally, brokers facilitate the use of leverage, margin trading, and help ensure regulatory compliance, providing traders with a secure environment to trade effectively. Without brokers, individual traders would struggle to access markets and execute trades efficiently.
An order is an instruction for a broker to execute a trade - buy or sell an asset on behalf of a trader. Depending on your strategy, risk tolerance, and market condition, different kinds of orders can be more or less effective, let's see the basic ones.
- Market order. It's a basic type designed to buy or sell an asset immediately at the next price available
- Limit order. Specifies the maximum (for buying) or minimum (for selling) price at which a trader is willing to execute a trade. It's only executed if the price reaches the preset level. There are buy and sell limit orders - they're set to buy/sell an asset at or below/above a certain price
- Stop order. Triggered when an asset moves above or below a certain price level, always executed in the direction that the price is moving. There are stop-loss orders (automatically closes a position at a certain level if the market moves against you) and (initiates a trade when the price breaks a certain level)

Leverage is a mechanism that allows traders to open larger positions with a smaller amount of capital. It basically means borrowing funds from a broker, often multiplying your position size by 5x, 10x, or more. For example, with 5x leverage, a $100 deposit could open a $500 trade with your broker lending you $400 you don't have. It's a popular technique, but remember that while leverage increases potential profits, it also magnifies losses, which is why it's essential to learn how to manage risks.

It's always worth preparing for trades before actually executing them. On TradingView, you can do this with our Paper Trading functionality.
Margin trading means an investor buying an asset by borrowing the balance from a broker. It allows traders to increase their buying power, enabling larger positions with less upfront capital. While it can provide greater market exposure with less capital and amplify potential gains, it also comes with increased risks:
- Increased risk of losses, including exceeding initial investment
- Interest costs on borrowed funds
- Potential for margin calls requiring additional deposits
Make sure to analyze an asset thoroughly and test your strategy on a Paper Trading account to ensure you're ready to navigate these risks.
Commissions in trading are fees that brokers charge for executing trades on behalf of traders. These costs help brokers maintain their platforms, provide essential services, and ensure smooth access to financial markets.

Understanding commission structures is essential for traders, as fees can impact overall profitability. Choosing a broker with competitive rates and transparent pricing ensures cost-effective trading.
