This formula is similar to the vortex indicator, but it calculates a single trend line instead of two separate trend lines. The trend line is calculated by averaging the distance between the current high and the prior low, and the distance between the current low and the prior high.
The formula then returns a single value, which represents the trend line.
You can use this formula to create a separate trend indicator on TradingView. To do this, simply copy and paste the formula into the "Formula" field of the indicator. You can then adjust the length of the vortex indicator by changing the value of the "length" argument.
