Bosnia's BH Telecom to pay out 0.08 euro/share special dividend
SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), December 30 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's state-controlled BH Telecom [SASE:BTHS] said it will distribute a special dividend of 0.173 marka per share ($0.09/0.08 euro) out of its retained profit for 2023.
The total amount of special dividends to be paid out to shareholders is 11 million marka, the company said in a filing to the Sarajevo Stock Exchange last week, following a shareholders' meeting.
In July, BH Telecom distributed a dividend of 1.1 marka per share after skipping dividend payouts in 2022.
BH Telecom is 90%-owned by the Federation, one of two entities that make up Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 2023, amid a dip in the telco's profit, the Federation government approved a management overhaul, following which the company reported a 37% jump in gross profit year-on-year in the first quarter of 2024.
