TSX opens lower as commodity prices drop

Canada's main stock index fell on Monday, as commodity prices retreated and higher bond yields halted a global stocks rally heading into the year-end.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index TSX was down 0.9% at 24,575.87 points.
