Solar & Lunar Eclipse Cycles (4-Event Regime Overlay)
Description:
This indicator visualizes long-term market regimes using eclipse-based cycles.
The chart background alternates between:
Green (Solar Cycle): four consecutive solar eclipses
Maroon (Lunar Cycle): four consecutive lunar eclipses
Each cycle begins at the first eclipse of its type and ends when the fourth eclipse completes, at which point the regime flips to the opposite type.
The model uses eclipse-season spacing to approximate event timing and is designed for macro-level context, not exact astronomical precision. Accuracy is intentionally coarse (week-level), prioritizing structural rhythm over date perfection.

This indicator maps long-duration market regimes using a simplified solar–lunar cycle framework inspired by eclipse sequencing.The model divides time into repeating “eclipse seasons” (~6 months) and tracks regime state by counting events of a single type:
Solar Regime (green): four consecutive solar events
Lunar Regime (maroon): four consecutive lunar events
After four events of the active type, the regime flips to the opposite state. The background color reflects the current regime and is projected forward in time, providing a continuous macro context rather than reactive signals.
This is not an astronomical calendar and does not attempt day-perfect accuracy. Dates are intentionally approximate, focusing on structural rhythm and regime duration rather than precise event timing.
