What is the BTC Proxy Dominance Index?
It’s an index that can be used to measure the difference between BTC.D and its Proxy (total crypto market cap ex. stables)

How is the index calculated?
Values of the index are normalised within the range of 0 to 100, and indicate the magnitude of the difference, relative to the maximum possible difference when the Proxy is at its highest value. A lower index value means a smaller difference between BTC.D and its Proxy, whist a higher value means larger difference.

What is this index for?
The index can be used to evaluate BTC's relative dominance within the total market cap, excluding stables by providing a numerical measure for analysing changes in BTC dominance over time.
Release Notes
Changes as follows:
  • Removed TUSD from the stablecoin dominance calculation
