Release Notes
In this update, two important features have been added:1. Optimize Ending Point for Last Price – This feature aligns the ending point with probability patterns and makes it more convenient to set up channels. Users only need to specify the starting point, while the ending point is determined through optimization. This also helps reduce errors when selecting the ending point of a Regression Channel.”
When Turn – Ending at Last Bar is ON and Optimize is ON, the ending point will adjust according to the following conditions:
* End at the last close price during a sideways market
* End at the highest close price during an uptrend
* End at the lowest close price during a downtrend
“2) A Measurement for Linear Regression Channel Strength – This feature helps users understand the strength of a Regression Channel as part of evaluating price direction. For this measurement, we use Pearson’s correlation (r).
To make evaluation easier, a cut-off threshold has been added to determine whether the channel strength falls within a specified range. The result is displayed through a color change of the Regression Channel, which transitions from gray to a user-defined color. The strength value itself is displayed in the top-right corner of the screen. The cut-off value can be adjusted from 0.0 (weakest) to 1.00 (strongest).”
