This is an indicator for counting Sakata new price.

Bullish Candle
Count the first bullish candle from the starting point of the uptrend.
Count a bullish candle that updates the previous high on a closing basis as a new high.

Bearish Candle New Low
Count the first bearish candle from the starting point of the downtrend.
Count a bearish candle that updates the previous low on a closing basis as a new low.

Operating Instructions:
When you add the indicator to the chart, a message will appear.
Click with the mouse to specify the starting point for counting, and the starting point of the counter on the chart will be set. Bullish candle new highs will be displayed with red labels, and bearish candle new lows will be displayed with blue labels.

上昇の起点から最初の陽線を1本目と数える。
終値ベースでそれまでの高値を更新している陽線を新値として数える。

陰線新値
下降の起点から最初の陰線を1本目と数える。
終値ベースでそれまでの安値を更新している陰線を新値として数える。

操作方法
インジケーターをチャートに追加すると、「Sakata New Priceのstarting pointに日時を設定」とメッセージが表示されます。カウントの起点をマウスでクリックして指定すると、チャート上のカウンタの起点がセットされます。陽線新値は赤色のラベル、陰線新値は青色のラベルで表示されます。

This is a TradingView indicator called "Sakata New Price" This tool counts two different types of new values known as bullish and bearish candlesticks.

Bullish New Values:
This indicator counts the first bullish candlestick from the starting point of an uptrend as the first instance. Subsequently, it counts bullish candlesticks that update the previous high based on closing prices as new values.
Bearish New Values:
Similarly, it counts the first bearish candlestick from the starting point of a downtrend as the initial instance. It then considers bearish candlesticks updating the previous low based on closing prices as new values.

Usage in Trading:

Execution of Strategies for Continuing Trends:
The probability of a retracement completing within the first three new values against the trend is 80%. Traders can utilize this information to time entries during these retracements.

Assessment of Medium to Long-Term Trend Continuation Limits:
Counting the new values, especially beyond the 10th instance, allows for judgments about the proximity of the trend's end. This information can be used to avoid new entries into the market.

Indicator Operation:

When specifying the starting point for counting, bullish new values are represented with red labels, while bearish new values are displayed with blue labels.
The indicator supports interactive mode, allowing users to specify the date and time as the starting point on the chart when adding the indicator.
By selecting the indicator and moving the date and time on the chart, users can adjust the starting point for counting.

Indicator Overview

This indicator is a TradingView tool designed to count Sakata New Prices.
By specifying any bar as the starting point, it automatically counts both bullish and bearish Sakata New Prices.

It is compatible with Pine Script Version 6.
In this version, the script has been refactored with the goal of making it easier to understand what the script is doing, by organizing the logic into a clear and traceable flow.

Sakata New Price Counting Rules

Bullish Sakata New Price
After the count starts, the first bullish candle (close > open) is counted as 1.
After that, any bullish candle whose closing price updates the highest price so far is counted as a new Sakata New Price.

Bearish Sakata New Price
After the count starts, the first bearish candle (close < open) is counted as 1.
After that, any bearish candle whose closing price updates the lowest price so far is counted as a new Sakata New Price.

How to Use the Indicator

First, specify the bar where counting should begin.
A vertical line will be displayed on the chart at the selected bar.

After the start point, labels are displayed as follows:
Bullish Sakata New Prices: the count is shown in red labels
Bearish Sakata New Prices: the count is shown in blue labels

If you want to change the starting point,
select the start marker (the vertical line) and move it to a different date and time on the chart.
This allows you to restart the Sakata New Price count from any desired market phase.

Examples of Practical Trading Use

① Entry Based on Pullbacks During a Trend
It is said that the probability that counter-trend Sakata New Prices remain within three bars during an uptrend (or downtrend) is about 80%.
When three counter-trend new prices appear, this timing can be used as a contrarian entry signal.

② Judging the Limits of a Medium- to Long-Term Trend
Sakata New Prices are often said to have a maximum of 13 counts.
By counting Sakata New Prices, when the count reaches 10 or more, it becomes possible to judge that the trend may be approaching its limit.

As a result, this indicator can be used for end-of-trend risk management, such as:
Avoiding new entries
Considering profit-taking or position adjustments



インジケーターの概要

このインジケーターは、酒田新値をカウントするための TradingView 用ツールです。
任意のバーをカウント開始点として指定することで、陽線新値・陰線新値の両方を自動で数えます。

Pine Script Version 6 に対応しています。
今回はスクリプトが「何をしているのか」を理解しやすくすることを目的に、処理の流れが追いやすい形へリファクタリングしました。

酒田新値のカウントルール

陽線新値
カウント開始後、最初に出現した陽線（終値 > 始値）を 1 本目としてカウントします。
それ以降は終値が、これまでの最高値を更新した陽線を新値としてカウントします。

陰線新値
カウント開始後、最初に出現した陰線（終値 < 始値）を 1 本目としてカウントします。
それ以降は終値が、これまでの安値を更新した陰線を新値としてカウントします。

インジケーターの操作方法

カウントを開始するバーを指定します。
指定したバーには、チャート上に縦のラインが表示されます。
開始日以降、以下のようにラベルが表示されます。
陽線新値：赤色のラベルにカウント数を表示
陰線新値：青色のラベルにカウント数を表示

カウントの起点を変更したい場合は、
開始日の目印（縦ライン）を選択しチャート上で日時を移動してください。
これにより、任意の局面から酒田新値のカウントをやり直すことができます。

トレードでの活用例

① トレンド継続時の押し目を狙ったエントリー
上昇トレンド（または下降トレンド）中に発生する逆行方向の新値が 3 本以内に収まる確率は約 80% とされています。
逆行新値が 3 本出た時点を逆張りのエントリー判断に利用できます。

② 中長期トレンドの限界判断
酒田新値は 13 本が限界と言われています。
酒田新値を数えていくことで、新値が 10 本目以降 に入ってきた場合、そろそろ新値の限界に近付いているといった判断が可能になります。
そのため、
・新規エントリーを控える
・利益確定や建玉調整を検討する
など、トレンド終盤のリスク管理にも役立ちます。
