GKD-C Absolute Strength Histogram [Loxx]Giga Kaleidoscope Absolute Strength Histogram is a Confirmation module included in Loxx's "Giga Kaleidoscope Modularized Trading System".
█ Giga Kaleidoscope Modularized Trading System
What is Loxx's "Giga Kaleidoscope Modularized Trading System"?
The Giga Kaleidoscope Modularized Trading System is a trading system built on the philosophy of the NNFX (No Nonsense Forex) algorithmic trading.
What is an NNFX algorithmic trading strategy?
The NNFX algorithm is built on the principles of trend, momentum, and volatility. There are six core components in the NNFX trading algorithm:
1. Volatility - price volatility; e.g., Average True Range, True Range Double, Close-to-Close, etc.
2. Baseline - a moving average to identify price trend
3. Confirmation 1 - a technical indicator used to identify trends.
4. Confirmation 2 - a technical indicator used to identify trends.
5. Continuation - a technical indicator used to identify trends.
6. Volatility/Volume - a technical indicator used to identify volatility/volume breakouts/breakdown.
7. Exit - a technical indicator used to determine when a trend is exhausted.
How does Loxx's GKD (Giga Kaleidoscope Modularized Trading System) implement the NNFX algorithm outlined above?
Loxx's GKD v1.0 system has five types of modules (indicators/strategies). These modules are:
1. GKD-BT - Backtesting module (Volatility, Number 1 in the NNFX algorithm)
2. GKD-B - Baseline module (Baseline and Volatility/Volume, Numbers 1 and 2 in the NNFX algorithm)
3. GKD-C - Confirmation 1/2 and Continuation module (Confirmation 1/2 and Continuation, Numbers 3, 4, and 5 in the NNFX algorithm)
4. GKD-V - Volatility/Volume module (Confirmation 1/2, Number 6 in the NNFX algorithm)
5. GKD-E - Exit module (Exit, Number 7 in the NNFX algorithm)
(additional module types will added in future releases)
Each module interacts with every module by passing data between modules. Data is passed between each module as described below:
GKD-B => GKD-V => GKD-C(1) => GKD-C(2) => GKD-C(Continuation) => GKD-E => GKD-BT
That is, the Baseline indicator passes its data to Volatility/Volume. The Volatility/Volume indicator passes its values to the Confirmation 1 indicator. The Confirmation 1 indicator passes its values to the Confirmation 2 indicator. The Confirmation 2 indicator passes its values to the Continuation indicator. The Continuation indicator passes its values to the Exit indicator, and finally, the Exit indicator passes its values to the Backtest strategy.
This chaining of indicators requires that each module conform to Loxx's GKD protocol, therefore allowing for the testing of every possible combination of technical indicators that make up the six components of the NNFX algorithm.
What does the application of the GKD trading system look like?
Example trading system:
Backtest: Strategy with 1-3 take profits, trailing stop loss, multiple types of PnL volatility, and 2 backtesting styles
Baseline: Hull Moving Average as shown on the chart above
Volatility/Volume: Finite Volume Elements (FVE) as shown on the chart above
Confirmation 1: Absolute Strength Histogram as shown on the chart above
Confirmation 2: Williams Percent Range
Continuation: Fisher Transform
Exit: Rex Oscillator
Each GKD indicator is denoted with a module identifier of either: GKD-BT, GKD-B, GKD-C, GKD-V, or GKD-E. This allows traders to understand to which module each indicator belongs and where each indicator fits into the GKD protocol chain.

█ Absolute Strength Histogram
What is Absolute Strength Histogram?
Absolute Strength ( aka Absolute Strength Histogram) Backtest is a momentum indicator that shows trend strength of bulls vs bears. This indicator originates from MQL Forex Traders. This version isn't actually a histogram but its called as such because this same formulation normally includes a histogram but for our purposes here, that is excluded.

ASH
Strategy - Backtest Uber ASH - Absolute Strength Histogram [UTS]Backtesting of Uber ASH - Absolute Strength Histogram
Backtest with focus win/loss profitability. Formula: profitability = win / (win+loss)
Do not put too much weight on trade PNL as the value is not necessary correct.
For example: on SL or TP hit an open position is marked as to be closed but executed on the open a new candle, thus leads to incorrect PNL.
Default equity 50k
Default 2% Risk per trade
Default currency USD
Define backtest interval precisely by month, year, day
ATR (len: 14, smooth: SMA)
ATR based Stop-Loss, if hit trade will be closed and considered as loss
ATR based Take-Profit, if hit trade will be closed and considered as win
If TP or SL is hit trade is closed and of course considered as win/loss

Uber ASH - Absolute Strength Histogram [UTS]The Absolute Strength Histogram is an indicator that measures the current strength in market.
If the red line crosses the green line the bears are in control. If the green line crosses the red the market is in favor of the bulls.
General Usage
Signals are created on line cross. They that can be used to EXIT or LONG/SHORT a trade.
It is worth investing the time and fine-tune the settings: e.g. SuperSmoothed 16 and HMA 40 provides decent results.
The colored histogram visualizes if any "strength" is existent and if a trend reversal can become more likely.
Alerts
Traders can easily use the reversal signal to trigger alerts from:
Cross Up
Cross Down
Those values are > zero if a condition is triggered.
Alert condition example: "Cross Up" - "Greater Than" - "0"
Calculation methods
The market “strength” can be calculated in three different ways:
ADX
RSI
STOCHASTIC (default)
Moving Averages
16 different Moving Averages are available:
ALMA (Arnaud Legoux Moving Average)
DEMA (Double Exponential Moving Average)
EMA (Exponential Moving Average)
FRAMA (Fractal Adaptive Moving Average)
HMA (Hull Moving Average)
JURIK (Jurik Moving Average)
KAMA (Kaufman Adaptive Moving Average)
Kijun (Kijun-sen / Tenkan-sen of Ichimoku)
LSMA (Least Square Moving Average)
RMA (Running Moving Average)
SMA (Simple Moving Average)
SuperSmoothed (Super Smoothed Moving Average)
TEMA (Triple Exponential Moving Average)
VWMA (Volume Weighted Moving Average)
WMA (Weighted Moving Average)
ZLEMA (Zero Lag Moving Average)
A freely determinable length allows for sensitivity adjustments that fits your own requirements.

Trend Follower - Light Mode | jhFollow up script for my Trend Follower script.
I'm used to dark mode, so I coded a few key plots in white, so those are changed into black on the script.
Notably:
- > 1 ATR in black dots along the baseline
- Current and previous ATR text labels to the right of the price
- A text label spacing input that allows you to adjust the spacing for text label from price.
This is a trend following system that combines 3 indicators which provide different functionalities, also a concept conceived by VP's No Nonsense FX / NNFX method.
1. Baseline
The main baseline filter is an indicator called Modular Filter created by Alex Grover
- www.tradingview.com
- Alex Grover - Modular Filter
-------
That's the moving average like baseline following price, filtering long and short trends and providing entry signals when the price crosses the baseline.
Entry signal indicated with arrows.
2. Volume/Volatility, I will called it Trend Strength
The next indicator is commonly known as ASH, Absolute Strength Histogram.
This indicator was shared by VP as a two line cross trend confirmation indicator, however I discovered an interesting property when I modified the calculation of the histogram.
- Alex Grover Absolute Strength
-------
My modification and other info here
- Absolute Strength Histogram v2
-------
I simplified the display of the trend strength by plotting squares at the bottom of the chart.
- Lighted Squares shows strength
- Dimmed Squares shows weakness
3. Second Confirmation / Exits / Trailing Stop
Finally the last indicator is my usage of QQE (Qualitative Quantitative Estimation), demonstrated in my QQE Trailing Line Indicator
- QQE Trailing Line for Trailing Stop
-------
Three usages of this amazing indicator, serving as :
- Second trend confirmation
- Exit signal when price crosses the trailing line
- Trailing stop when you scaled out the second trade
This indicator is plotted with crosses.
Additional plots and information
Bar Color
- Green for longs, Red for shorts, White when the baseline direction conflicts with the QQE trailing line direction
- When it's white, it's usually ranging and not trending, ASH will also keep you off ranging periods.
-------
ATR Filter
- White circles along the baseline, they will show up if the price has moved more than one ATR from the baseline
- The default allowance is 1 ATR.
-------
The previous and current ATR value
- Label on the right side of the chart showing the previous and current value of ATR

Didi Index Improved with QQE
ACTION LocatorThe indicator is based on the RSI and the Absolute Strength Histogram (more specifically the modification by Jie).
It is meant to be used to filter out periods of consolidation, and determine if the bulls or bears are in control when there is enough action to possibly start a trend.
The RSI is not used to find overbought or oversold conditions, but to find momentum and filter out sideways movement.
The ASH is used to filter out sideways movement by looking at the difference between the bulls and the bears and when the difference is below either the bulls or the bears, the market is considered to be consolidating. Otherwise, direction for possible trends are determined by which line is above the other.
Blue background = Bulls are in control of the ACTION
Orange background = Bears are in control of the ACTION
Gray background = No ACTION - DO NOT TRADE
Absolute Strength Histogram v2 | jhv2 changes the way the histogram is plotted.
Histogram shows the strength and can be used to identify trending or ranging periods.
Absolute Strength Histogram | jhOriginal ASH code from alexgrover
Some changes:
- Change the price to SMA with Period of 1 with reference to the original MT4 code
- Added a few more MAs
I_Heikin Ashi CandleWhen apply a strategy to Heikin Ashi Candle chart (HA candle), the strategy will use the open/close/high/low values of the Heikin Ashi candle to calculate the Profit and Loss, hence also affecting the Percent Profitable, Profit Factor, etc., often resulting a unrealistic high Percent Profitable and Profit Factor, which is misleading. But if you want to use the HA candle's values to calculate your indicator / strategy, but pass the normal candle's open/close/high/low values to the strategy to calculate the Profit / Loss, you can do this:
1) set up the main chart to be a normal candle chart
2) use this indicator script to plot a secondary window with indicator looks exactly like a HA-chart
3) to use the HA-candle's open/close/high/low value to calculate whatever indicator you want (you may need to create a separate script if you want to plot this indicator in a separate indicator window)
