FEES
Market Activity Risk"Market Activity Risk" (MAR) - Is a dynamic tool designed to structurize the competitive landscape of blockchain transaction blocks, offering traders a strategic edge in anticipating market movements.
By capturing where market participants are actively buying and selling, the MAR indicator provides insights into areas of high competition, allowing traders to make informed decisions and potentially front-run transactions.
At the heart of this tool are blockchain transaction fees , they can represent daily shifts in transaction fee pressures.
By measuring momentum in fees, we can analyze the urgency and competition among traders to have their transactions processed first. This indicator is particularly good at revealing potential support or resistance zones, areas where traders are likely to defend their positions or increase their stakes, thus serving as critical junctures for strategic decision-making.
Key Features:
Adaptable Standard Deviation Settings: Users have the flexibility to adjust the length of the standard deviation and its multipliers, managing the risk bands to their individual risk tolerance.
Color-Coded Risk Levels: The MAR indicator employs an intuitive color scheme, making it easy to interpret the data at a glance.
Multi-Currency Compatibility: While designed with Bitcoin in mind, the MAR indicator is versatile, functioning effectively across various cryptocurrencies including Ethereum, XRP, and several other major altcoins. This broad compatibility ensures that traders across different market segments can leverage the insights provided by this tool.
Customizable Moving Average: The 730-day moving average setting is thoughtfully chosen to reflect the nuances of a typical cryptocurrency cycle, capturing long-term trends and fluctuations. However, recognizing the diverse needs and perspectives of traders, the indicator allows for the moving average period to be modified.
Risk Management & Position Size Dashboard ProThis version of the dashboard system factors in trading fees to your max risk to account per trade. This comes in handy when trading very low timeframes where trade risk can be tiny and leverage high where traditional position size calculations can yield huge position sizes where just the fees can far exceed your risk appetite. This system calculates your position size factoring in fees so you will never exceed your risk settings. Details below.
****
This indicator is designed to assist traders by instantly providing the necessary information to execute orders based on defined risk parameters. This is not an indicator that tells you WHEN to buy or sell, but HOW MUCH to buy or sell based on your risk appetite. The indicator is compatible with any strategy and any instrument
The indicator uses some great pinescript features, allowing you to drag and drop your levels directly on the chart for instant feedback from the risk management dashboard. Huge timesaver.
Instructions:
1. The first time you add the indicator to your chart, you will be asked to identify your Entry, Stop and Target levels by clicking on them directly on the chart. You can at any point adjust these levels directly on the chart, or you can manually enter them in settings
2. Setup your risk profile in the indicator settings:
(a) Current Capital: Enter the current value of your trading account
(b) Max Risk Per Trade: Enter the maximum % of your Capital you want to risk per trade
(c) Max Leverage: Enter the maximum leverage you want applied to your account. This comes in handy when you trade on very low timeframes where position sizes can become very large. No matter what you enter here, position size will never exceed Max Risk Per Trade
(d) Stop Ticks: Number of ticks to use above/below the identified high/low for stops
(e) % fee per trade: enter your brokers fees here to ensure the system takes this into consideration while calculating position size
(e) Use Current Price as Entry (Market Orders): By default, the system will use the entry level you have selected for limit orders. If you want to use the system to display data based on current price for market orders, select “Use Current Price as Entry (Market Orders)”
(f) number of TP levels: enter the number of TP levels you are planning to use to ensure the fees are calculated for them
3. Based on your stop and target levels, the system will automatically determine if you're looking to long or short and accordingly display all relevant data to you.
4. Display Free Trade Level: toggle this on to display the level you should exit 50% of your position to make the trade risk free
5. Dashboard / Text size / level colours and positions are customisable
The Dashboard displays the following information at all times:
1. Entry
2. Stop
3. Trade Risk (%): Percentage price difference between Entry and Stop
4. Max Risk ($): Currency value of loss if the trade is stopped out
5. Size: Position Size to execute your trade based on your risk profile/appetite
6. Size($): Position Size in currency value
7. Total Fees: Total fees for the trade based on settings above
7. P&L($): Potential profit to your Capital in currency value
8. P&L(%): Potential profit to your Capital in %
9. Risk to account: % risk to account - used as confirmation that the max risk to your account, factoring fees is circa your risk appetite
10. R:R: Risk to Reward Ratio
11. % to Target: Percent price needs to move to achieve your target
Hope this helps you with your trading. I built this as I was tired of wasting time opening up spreadsheets or calculators to execute trades - especially on lower timeframes. Making the code open source so if you do make improvements to this I'd love to hear from you. Also open to suggestions.
Happy Trading!
Cost of SpreadAdd to a quote, set the current total transaction cost (i.e. Spread (%) to 0.04 if BTCUSDT binance future, Spread (base) 0.0001 if trading EURUSD with 1 pip net spread).
Both lines indicate the relative volatility corrected cost of trading (ATR as orange line, StdDev as cyan).
Plot Break-even PriceThis indicator simply plots your entry price and the break-even point (green line). Area between the entry price and the break-even point will “eat” you profit by exchange fees. You can use the green line to lock your break-even point. I do not recommend using this strategy for trading, because the entry logic is based on SMA crosses. However, this script could be used within you own strategy to plot the break-even point.
For example, there is 0.1% Maker fee and 0.1% Taker fee at Binance spot exchange. You need to sum up those two fees to calculate the break-even point. Every exit above/below the green line will guarantee a profit (in our case it means 0.2% above the entry price for long position and 0.2% below the entry price for short position).
Scripting Tutorial B - TManyMA - Commission/FeesThis script is for a triple moving average strategy where the user can select from different types of moving averages, price sources, lookback periods and resolutions.
Features:
- 3 Moving Averages with variable MA types, periods, price sources, resolutions and the ability to disable each individually.
- Crossovers are plotted on the chart with detailed information regarding the crossover (Ex: 50 SMA crossed over 200 SMA )
- Forecasting available for all three MAs. MA values are forecasted 5 values out and plotted as if a continuation to the MA.
- Forecast bias also applies to all forecasting. Bias means we can forecast based on an anticipated bullish , bearish or neutral direction in the market.
- To understand bias, please read the source code, or if you can't read the code just send me a message on here or Twitter . Twitter should be linked to my profile.
- Ribbons added and on by default. Optional setting to disable the ribbons. 5 ribbons between MA1 and MA2 and another 5 between MA2 and MA3.
- Ribbons are alpha-color coded based on their relation to their default MAs.
- Ribbons are only visible between MAs if the MAs being compared share the same Type, Resolution, and Source because there is no way to consolidate those three in a simple manner.
- Ribbon values are calculated based on calculated MA Periods between the MAs.
- Converted the existing study into a strategy.
- Strategy only enters long positions with a market order when MA crossovers occur.
- Strategy exits positions when crossunders occur.
- Trades 100% of the equity with one order/position by default.
- Ability to disable trading certain crosses with input checks.
- Ability to exit trades with a take profit or stop loss.
- User input to allow quick changes to the take profit or stop loss percentages.
- Strategy now calculates on every tick
- Strategy also includes fixed commission values based on Coinbase standard order fees
This script is meant as an educational script with well-formatted styling, and references for specific functions.

Crypto Break-even FeeWhen I started trading cryptocurrency, I lost money because I didn't take the fees enough into account. Therefore I created my own indicator to quicqly see the break-even selling price of the selling price if I want a predifined profit level.
2 lines are added to the graph. These lines move together with the current price.
- One line indicating the break-even selling price (depending on your maker/taker strategy). For beginners I suggest taking the taker strategy (mostly 0.25%)
- Another line indicating the selling price in order to make a predifined profit %
There are 2 parameters you can set:
- Desired profit (%)
- Maker/Taker Fee (%)

Bitcoin Transaction FeesThe Bitcoin Transaction Fees is the fee value that miners earn on a daily basis.
The indicator can show the value either in BTC or USD.
Break-Even Line - JDThis gives you a simple visual representation of fees implications.
This indicator can give you an insight of what timeframes are worth trading, and at what timeframes your profit will be "eaten by fees"
The indicator shows, how far price has to move from the last swing points (if you entered there) to break-even after fees
As long as you're 'in the red' you P/L after fees will be negative!!
The fees are added once for entry and once for exit, so you have to enter the fees per transaction
(eg in BitSeven this is 0.075%/trans for BTC and 0.151%/trans for ETH)
Of course this can be used for any market.

FRM - Bitcoin Fee Ratio MultipleBitcoin Fee Ratio Multiple (FRM) is a BTC specific study that measures its strength as a Store of Value.
FRM may be a solid alternative to the Network Value to Transaction (NVT) indicator.
A low FRM suggests that Bitcoin can maintain its current security budget (miner revenue) without having to rely on an inflationary subsidy.
Conversely, a high FRM suggests that Bitcoin will require heavy inflation via block reward subsidies in order to maintain its existing security levels.
This means that in order to reach current security budget levels without block reward subsidies, transaction fee revenue for each chain has to grow as many times as the FRM indicator points.
We would naturally expect a strong inverse correlation between large price movements and FRM.
Strong price action in either direction is usually accompanied by a surge in volume →
More volume suggests more people are moving assets to exchanges →
More people transacting with crypto asset means higher transaction fee revenue →
Therefore, higher transaction fee revenue means lower FRM
In the long run the correlation between price and FRM would tend to disappear.
FRM for capped supply assets would continue to decline over time, eventually reaching something close to 1, the point at which transaction fee revenue makes up 100% of total miner revenue.
Some notes about NVT.
NVT is used to measure a chain’s strength as a payment network compared to its market value. A low NVT may suggest that a network is undervalued compared to the service it is providing as a settlement layer.
NVT and FRM will not always be correlated. A chain could feasibly have a high number of transactions and a low network value, and therefore a low NVT, while simultaneously having a high FRM depending on the current size of block rewards and average transaction fee.
Moreover, NVT is far easier to spoof than FRM: one merely need spam the network with low fee transactions. By contrast, significant manipulation of FRM would by definition require significant cost as FRM measures the aggregate value of transaction fees rather than count.

FR(%) - Bitcoin Fee RatioBitcoin Fee Ratio is a BTC specific study aiming to replace the ever-misleading ‘market capitalization’ (marketcap).
It answers to the following question:
“If block rewards disappeared tomorrow what percentage of economic volume would we have to pay in fees to replace them”
A low FR means that users can transact securely while simultaneously paying a minimal % of each transaction as a fee.
Conversely, a high FR means that users have to pay a high % of each transaction as a fee in order to transact securely.

Estimate exchange/broker fee commission from trade volumeThis script is used to estimate how much an exchange/broker makes off a particular pair/symbol. If Coinbase(GDAX) has a 0.25% taker fee and a 0.15% maker fee per trade and you estimate the average commission fee at 0.19% then you simple input that, and how many periods you'd like to know the total fee for (30 periods on the 1 day chart = last 30 days, 28 periods on 4 hour chart = last 7 days, etc).
This is for broad estimates of a single pair and only works well on exchanges that show only the volume on that exchange (stock markets may be less useful for this tool).
THIS TOOL IS TO PROVIDE A BROAD ESTIMATE , NOT AN EXACT FIGURE!
// percentage fee rate is entered as a percent: 3.5=3.5%, not 350%.
// pbtc , the one for calculating the USD value of fees that are in bitcoin, uses the price at time fees were realized. IE chart is on
// 1 day interval and XBARFEE is set at 4, then PBTC gives the USD value as if the exchange sold all btc at the end of each day for
// 4 days. i.e.:
// Day 1: BTCUSD= $5000 fees=1.5, Day 2: BTCUSD = $5000 fees=3.0, Day 3 BTCUSD = $10,000 fees=1.0, Day 4 BTCUSD = $20,000 fees=1.0
// PBTC would NOT show (1.5+ 3 + 1 + 1) = 6.5 * $20k = $130,000. It would do: (1.5*5000)+(3*5000)... = $52,500.
