WWV_LB zigzag pivot fix jayyThis is a zigzag version of LazyBear's WWV_LB. In order to plot the WWV_LB as a zigzag, it made sense to me to set the zigzag pivot at the true WWV_LB low or high pivot bars as opposed to the "pivot" bars plotted by the original WWV_LB script. The pivot point identified in the WWV_LB script is actually the point at which a wave reversal is confirmed as opposed to the true script pivot point. Confirmation of a wave reversal can, at times, lag the true pivot by a few bars especially as trendDetectionLength values increase above "1". The WWV_LB script calculates cumulative volume from wave reversal confirmation bar to wave reversal confirmation bar as opposed to the actual/true WWV_LB reversal pivot bar to reversal pivot bar. As such the waves plotted by the original and this pivot fixed scripts not only look slightly different but can also have different cumulative volumes. Confirmation of a wave reversal can lag a few bars behind the true pivot point.
The following critical lines of the original WWV_LB script determine when a wave reverses, both the true pivot and the confirmation point:mov = close>close ? 1 : close

Divergence Indicator [Trendoscope®]🎲 New Divergence Indicator by Trendoscope
Our latest Divergence Indicator revolutionizes the way traders identify market trends and potential reversals. Built upon the robust foundation of the Zigzag Trend Divergence Detector and inline with our recent implementation of the Divergence Goggles indicator, this tool is designed to be intuitive yet powerful, making it an essential addition to any trader's toolkit.
We received several queries on extending the Divergence Goggles to last N bars instead of using an interactive widget. Though it is possible, we thought the better approach is to enable the indicator to use any oscillator and trend indicator in order to define the divergence.
🎯 Key Features
Flexible Oscillator Integration : Choose from a wide range of built-in oscillators or import your own, including options like the innovative Multiband Oscillator. This versatility extends to using volume indicators like OBV for divergence calculations, broadening the scope of analysis.
Trend Identification Versatility : Utilize built-in methods like Zigzag and MA Difference, or integrate external trend indicators. Our system adapts to various methods, ensuring you have the right tools for precise trend identification.
Customizable Zigzag Sensitivity : Adjust the Zigzag based on your chosen oscillator's sensitivity to ensure divergence lines are accurate and visually coherent.
Repainting vs. Delayed Signals : Tailor the indicator to your strategy by choosing between immediate repainting signals and slightly delayed but more stable signals.
🎯 Understanding Divergence: Key Rules
Bullish Divergence
Happens only in downtrend
Observed on Pivot Lows
Price makes lower low whereas oscillator makes higher low, indicating weakness and possible reversal
Bearish Divergence
Happens only in uptrend
Observed on Pivot Highs
Price makes higher high whereas oscillator makes lower high, indicating weakness and possible reversal
Bullish Hidden Divergence
Happens only in uptrend
Observed on Pivot Lows
Price makes higher low, whereas indicator makes lower low due to price consolidation. In bullish trend, this is considered as bullish as the price gets a breather and get ready to surge further.
Bearish Hidden Divergence
Happens only in downtrend
Observed on Pivot Highs
Price makes lower high whereas oscillator makes higher high due to price consolidation. In bearish trend, this is considered as bearish as the price gets a breather and get ready to fall further.

For a clearer understanding, refer to our visual guides:
🎲 Using the Divergence Indicator: A Step-by-Step Guide
🎯 Step 1 - Selecting the Oscillator
Customize your analysis by choosing from a variety of oscillators or importing your preferred one. Options are available to select a range of built-in oscillators and the loopback length. However, if the oscillator that user want to use is not in the list, they can simply load the oscillator from the indicator library and use it as an external signal.
In our current example, we are using a custom oscillator called - Multiband Oscillator
This also means, the indicator option is not limited to oscillators. Users can even make use of volume indicators such as OBV for the calculation of divergence.
🎯 Step 2 - Choosing the Trend Identification Method
Select from our built-in methods or integrate an external indicator to accurately identify market trends. Trend is one of the key parameters of divergence type identification. Trend can be identified mathematically by various methods. Some of them are as simple as above or below 200 moving average and some can follow trend based indicators such as supertrend and others can be very complex.
To cater for a wider audience, here too we have provided the option to use an external trend indicator. The simple condition for the external trend indicator is that it should return positive value for uptrend and negative value for downtrend.
Other than that, we also have 2 built in trend identification methods.
Zigzag - The trend is defined by the starting pivot of divergence line. If the starting pivot is Higher High or Higher Low, then it is considered uptrend. And if the starting pivot is either Lower Low or Lower High, then we consider it as downtrend.
MA Difference - In this case, the difference between the moving average of pivots joining the divergence line will determine the trend. It is considered uptrend if the moving average increased from starting pivot to ending pivot of the divergence line, and it is considered downtrend if the moving average decreased from starting pivot to the ending pivot of the divergence line.
🎯 Step 3 - Adjusting Zigzag Sensitivity
Fine-tune the Zigzag to match the oscillator's sensitivity, ensuring divergence lines are accurate and visually coherent.
🎯 Step 4 - Managing Repainting
Understand the implications of repainting in the last pivot of the Zigzag and choose between immediate or delayed signals based on your trading strategy. The last pivot of the zigzag repaint by design. This is not necessarily a bad thing. Users can just choose not to use the last pivot, but instead use the last but one for all the calculations. But, this also means, the signals will be delayed.
Indicator provides option to use repainting signal vs delayed signal. If you select the repaint option, the signals are shown immediately as and when they occur. But, there is a possibility that these signals change when the new price candles change zigzag pivot.
If you chose not to select the repaint option, then the divergence signals may lag by a few bars.

Zig Zag with Adaptive ProjectionThe "Zig Zag with Adaptive Projection" is an advanced technical analysis tool designed for TradingView's Pine Script platform. This indicator builds upon the traditional ZigZag concept by incorporating adaptive projection capabilities, offering traders a more sophisticated approach to identifying significant price movements and forecasting potential future price levels.
At its core, the indicator utilizes a user-defined period to calculate and display the ZigZag pattern on the chart. This pattern connects significant highs and lows, effectively filtering out minor price fluctuations and highlighting the overall trend structure. Users can customize the appearance of the ZigZag lines, including their color, style (solid, dashed, or dotted), and width, allowing for easy visual integration with other chart elements.
What sets this indicator apart is its adaptive projection feature. By analyzing historical ZigZag patterns, the indicator calculates average lengths and slopes of both bullish and bearish trends. This data is then used to project potential future price movements, adapting to the current market context. The projection lines extend from the most recent ZigZag point, offering traders a visual representation of possible price targets based on historical behavior.
The adaptive nature of the projections is particularly noteworthy. The indicator considers the current trend direction, the length of the most recent ZigZag segment, and compares it to historical averages. This approach allows for more nuanced projections that account for recent market dynamics. If the current trend is stronger than average, the projection will extend further, and vice versa.
From a technical standpoint, the indicator leverages Pine Script v5's capabilities, utilizing arrays for efficient data management and implementing dynamic line drawing for both the ZigZag and projection lines. This ensures smooth performance even when analyzing large datasets.
Traders can fine-tune the indicator to their preferences with several customization options. The ZigZag period can be adjusted from 10 to 100, allowing for sensitivity adjustments to match different trading timeframes. The projection lines can be toggled on or off and their appearance customized, providing flexibility in how the forecast is displayed.
In essence, the "Zig Zag with Adaptive Projection" indicator combines traditional trend analysis with forward-looking projections. It offers traders a tool to not only identify significant price levels but also to anticipate potential future movements based on historical patterns. This blend of retrospective analysis and adaptive forecasting makes it a valuable addition to a trader's technical analysis toolkit, particularly for those interested in trend-following strategies or looking for potential reversal points.

Auto Chart Patterns [Trendoscope®]🎲 Introducing our most comprehensive automatic chart pattern recognition indicator.
Last week, we published an idea on how to algorithmically identify and classify chart patterns.
This indicator is nothing but the initial implementation of the idea. Whatever we explained in that publication that users can do manually to identify and classify the pattern, this indicator will do it for them.
🎲 Process of identifying the patterns.
The bulk of the logic is implemented as part of the library - chartpatterns . The indicator is a shell that captures the user inputs and makes use of the library to deliver the outcome.
🎯 Here is the list of steps executed to identify the patterns on the chart.
Derive multi level recursive zigzag for multiple base zigzag length and depth combinations.
For each zigzag and level, check the last 5 pivots or 6 pivots (based on the input setting) for possibility of valid trend line pairs.
If there is a valid trend line pair, then there is pattern.
🎯 Rules for identifying the valid trend line pairs
There should be at least two trend lines that does not intersect between the starting and ending pivots.
The upper trend line should touch all the pivot highs of the last 5 or 6 pivots considered for scanning the patterns
The lower trend line should touch all the pivot lows of the last 5 or 6 pivots considered for scanning the patterns.
None of the candles from starting pivot to ending pivot should fall outside the trend lines (above upper trend line and below lower trend line)
The existence of a valid trend line pair signifies the existence of pattern. What type of pattern it is, to identify that we need to go through the classification rules.
🎲 Process of classification of the patterns.
We need to gather the following information before we classify the pattern.
Direction of upper trend line - rising, falling or flat
Direction of lower trend line - rising, falling or flat
Characteristics of trend line pair - converging, expanding, parallel
🎯 Broader Classifications
Broader classification would include the following types.
🚩 Classification Based on Geometrical Shapes
This includes
Wedges - both trend lines are moving in the same direction. But, the trend lines are either converging or diverging and not parallel to each other.
Triangles - trend lines are moving in different directions. Naturally, they are either converging or diverging.
Channels - Both trend lines are moving in the same direction, and they are parallel to each other within the limits of error.
🚩 Classification Based on Pattern Direction
This includes
Ascending/Rising Patterns - No trend line is moving in the downward direction and at least one trend line is moving upwards
Descending/Falling Patterns - No trend line is moving in the upward direction, and at least one trend line is moving downwards.
Flat - Both Trend Lines are Flat
Bi-Directional - Both trend lines are moving in opposite direction and none of them is flat.
🚩 Classification Based on Formation Dynamics
This includes
Converging Patterns - Trend Lines are converging towards each other
Diverging Patterns - Trend Lines are diverging from each other
Parallel Patterns - Trend Lines are parallel to each others
🎯 Individual Pattern Types

Enhanced Neowave Wave 1 Finder with ZigZagThis script is an advanced technical analysis indicator for the TradingView platform, written in Pine Script version 5. Its primary goal is to identify potential Elliott Wave "Wave 1" patterns, enhanced with principles from Neowave theory and a custom ZigZag indicator for more accurate pivot detection. The script is designed to be overlaid on the main price chart.
Core Functionality: Blending ZigZag and Neowave
The indicator's methodology is a two-part process. First, it identifies significant price swings using a robust ZigZag indicator. Then, it analyzes these swings based on a set of rules derived from Neowave and classic technical analysis to validate them as potential Wave 1 patterns.
Part 1: ZigZag Integration
The first major component is a comprehensive ZigZag indicator that forms the foundation for all subsequent analysis.
Pivot Detection: The pivots() function is the engine of the ZigZag. It scans the historical price data for significant high and low points (pivots) over a user-defined Length.
Segment Drawing: Once pivots are identified, the script draws lines connecting them, creating the classic ZigZag pattern on the chart.
Extended Direction & Ratios: This is an enhanced feature. The script doesn't just identify highs and lows; it categorizes them as:
Higher High (HH) or Lower High (LH)
Lower Low (LL) or Higher Low (HL)
This classification is crucial for understanding the market structure. It also calculates the price ratio of the most recent ZigZag leg relative to the previous one, which is used later for pattern validation.
Dynamic Updates: The ZigZag is not static. On each new bar, it can update its most recent pivot point if a new, more extreme price (a higher high or a lower low) is printed before the direction officially changes. This ensures the ZigZag is always reflecting the most current and significant price action.
Part 2: Neowave Wave 1 Finder
With the market structure defined by the ZigZag, the second part of the script applies a rigorous set of rules to identify potential Wave 1 patterns. A Wave 1 is the initial move of a new trend in Elliott Wave theory.
Key Validation Criteria
For a price move between two ZigZag pivots to be considered a valid Wave 1, it must pass a series of checks:
Significance: The move must have a minimum percentage change (Minimum Wave Length) and last for a minimum number of bars, filtering out insignificant noise.
Volume Confirmation: A genuine impulse wave is typically supported by increasing volume. The script checks if the volume during the potential Wave 1 is significantly higher than the recent average (Volume Increase Threshold).
Momentum Alignment: The direction of the wave must be confirmed by momentum indicators.
For a bullish (upward) Wave 1, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) must be in a bullish regime (above 50) and the MACD line must be above its signal line.
For a bearish (downward) Wave 1, the RSI must be below 50 and the MACD line must be below its signal line.
Structural Analysis (Impulse vs. Diagonal): The script attempts to differentiate between two types of Wave 1:
Impulse Wave: A strong, clean, and direct move.
Diagonal Wave: A more complex, overlapping, and often wedge-shaped pattern. This is identified by analyzing the time and price complexity of the move, along with the ZigZag leg ratios.
Wave 2 Retracement Check: A critical Neowave rule is that a valid Wave 1 must be followed by a valid Wave 2 retracement. The script looks at the next ZigZag leg to ensure it doesn't retrace more than 100% of the potential Wave 1. It also uses the ZigZag ratios to confirm the retracement falls within typical Fibonacci levels (e.g., 38.2% to 78.6%).
Display and User Interface
The script provides a rich visual experience to aid the trader in their analysis.
Wave Labels and Boxes: When a valid Wave 1 is detected, it is highlighted with a colored line (green for bullish, red for bearish) and a shaded background box. A label clearly marks it as "Wave 1 IMPULSE" or "Wave 1 DIAGONAL".
Fibonacci Retracement Levels: Upon detection of a Wave 1, the script automatically draws key Fibonacci retracement levels (38.2%, 50%, 61.8%, 78.6%). These levels are potential targets for the end of the subsequent Wave 2, offering potential entry points for a Wave 3 trade.
Information Labels: Additional labels provide at-a-glance confirmation of the conditions, showing whether volume and momentum criteria were met.
Customizable Inputs: Users have extensive control over the indicator's parameters, including the ZigZag length, volume thresholds, RSI levels, and the colors of all visual elements.
Alerts: The indicator can be configured to generate an alert whenever a new bullish or bearish Wave 1 pattern is confirmed, allowing traders to be notified of potential opportunities in real-time.
Trend Vanguard StrategyHow to Use:
Trend Vanguard Strategy is a multi-feature Pine Script strategy designed to identify market pivots, draw dynamic support/resistance, and generate trade signals via ZigZag breakouts. Here’s how it works and how to use it:
ZigZag Detection & Pivot Points
The script locates significant swing highs and lows using configurable Depth, Deviation, and Backstep values.
It then connects these pivots with lines (ZigZag) to highlight directional changes and prints labels (“Buy,” “Sell,” etc.) at key turning points.
Support & Resistance Trendlines
Pivot highs and lows are used to draw dashed S/R lines in real-time.
When price crosses these lines, the script triggers a breakout signal (long or short).
EMA Overlays
Up to four EMAs (with customizable lengths and colors) can be overlaid on the chart for added trend confirmation.
Enable/disable each EMA independently via the settings.
Repaint Option
Turning on “Smooth Indicator Lines” (repaint) uses future data to refine past pivots.
This can make historical signals look cleaner but does not reflect true historical conditions.
Turning it off ensures signals remain fixed once they appear.
Strategy Entries & Exits
On each new ZigZag “Buy” or “Sell” signal, the script closes any open position and flips to the opposite side (if desired).
Works with the built-in TradingView Strategy engine for backtesting.
Additional Inputs (Placeholders)
Volume Filter and RSI Filter settings exist but are not fully implemented in the current code. Future versions may incorporate these filters more directly.
How to Use
Add to Chart: Click “Indicators” → “Invite-Only Scripts” (or “My Scripts”) and select “Trend Vanguard Strategy.”
Configure Settings:
Adjust ZigZag Depth, Deviation, and Backstep to fine-tune pivot sensitivity.
Enable or disable each EMA to see how it aligns with market trends.
Toggle “Smooth Indicator Lines” on or off depending on whether you want repainting.
Backtest and Forward Test:
Use TradingView’s “Strategy Tester” tab to review hypothetical performance.
Remember that repainting can alter past signals if enabled.
Monitor Live:
Watch for breakout triangles or ZigZag labels to identify potential reversal or breakout trades in real time.
Disclaimer: This script is purely educational and not financial advice. Always combine it with sound risk management and thorough analysis. Enjoy exploring the script, and feel free to experiment with the different settings to match your trading style!
Option Pair ZigzagOptions Pair Zigzag:
Though we can split the chart window and view multiple charts, this indicator is useful when we view options charts.
How this indicator works:
The indicator works in non-overlay mode.
The indicator will find other option pair symbol and load it’s chart in indicator window. It will also draw a zigzag on both the charts. It will also fetch the SPOT symbol and display SPOT Close price of latest candle.
Useful information:
A. Support resistance: Higher High (HH) and Lower Low (LL) markings can be treated as strong support and or resistance and LH, HL markings can be treated as weak support and or resistance.
B. Trend identification: Easy identification of trend based on trend lines and trend markings i.e. Higher High (HH), Lower Low (LL), Lower High (LH), Higher Low (HL)
C. Use of Rate of change (ROC )– Labels drawn on swing points are equipped with ROC% between swing points. ROC% between Call and Put option charts can be compared and used to identify strong and weak moves.
Example:
1. User loads a call option chart of ‘NIFTY240620C23500’ (NIFTY 50 INDEX OPTIONS 20 JUN 2024 CALL 23500)
2. Since user has selected CALL Option, Indicator rules/logic will find PUT Option symbol of same strike and expiry
3. PUT Option chart would then shown in the indicator window
4. Draw zigzag on both the charts
5. Plot labels on both the charts
6. Labels are equipped with a tooltip showing rate of change between 2 pivot points
Input Parameters:
Left bars – Parameter required for plotting zigzag
Right bars – Parameter required for plotting zigzag

Market Structure HH, HL, LH and LLMarket Structure Indicator (HH, HL, LH, LL) – Explanation and Usage
Overview:
This indicator is designed to detect and visualize market structure shifts by identifying Higher Highs (HH), Higher Lows (HL), Lower Highs (LH), and Lower Lows (LL). It plots a ZigZag structure to mark trend changes, helping traders analyze price swings and market direction.
Indicator Logic:
The indicator operates based on ZigZag swing points to define trend shifts and structure changes.
Identifying Market Swings:
It finds local highs and lows using the ZigZag Length (zigzag_len), which defines how many bars back to check for a new swing high/low.
If the current high is the highest over zigzag_len periods, it marks it as a swing high.
If the current low is the lowest over zigzag_len periods, it marks it as a swing low.
Determining Market Structure:
Uptrend: Higher Highs (HH) & Higher Lows (HL)
Downtrend: Lower Lows (LL) & Lower Highs (LH)
The script continuously tracks the last two highs (h0, h1) and last two lows (l0, l1) to classify the current market structure.
Visual Elements:
ZigZag Line (Optional): Connects major swing highs and lows for trend visualization.
Labels (HH, HL, LH, LL):
HH (Higher High) – Price is making new highs → Uptrend Continuation.
HL (Higher Low) – Price forms a higher bottom → Uptrend Confirmation.
LL (Lower Low) – Price is making new lows → Downtrend Continuation.
LH (Lower High) – Price forms a lower top → Downtrend Confirmation.
Breakout Confirmation with Fibonacci Factor (Optional)
The indicator includes an option to confirm breakouts using the fib_factor, which ensures price moves beyond a certain retracement level.
How to Use This Indicator in Trading:
1. Identifying Trends & Trend Reversals
Uptrend: Look for a sequence of HH and HL.
Downtrend: Look for a sequence of LL and LH.
Trend Reversal: If price transitions from HH-HL to LH-LL, it signals a shift from an uptrend to a downtrend (and vice versa).
2. Confirming Entry & Exit Points
Buy Entry (Long Position)
Enter after a Higher Low (HL) is confirmed in an uptrend.
Combine with support zones or moving averages for confirmation.
Sell Entry (Short Position)
Enter after a Lower High (LH) is confirmed in a downtrend.
Combine with resistance zones or moving averages for confirmation.
Exit Strategy
Exit long trades when price fails to make a HH and forms an LH instead.
Exit short trades when price fails to make a LL and forms an HL instead.
3. Spotting Breakouts & Order Blocks
The Fib Factor setting allows traders to filter false breakouts by confirming price movement beyond a retracement threshold.
Potential Order Blocks can be identified by looking at the last major swing point before a breakout.
Benefits of This Indicator for Traders

RSI-Divergence Goggles [Trendoscope®]🎲 Introducing the RSI-Divergence Goggle
🎯 Revolutionizing Divergence Analysis in Trading
While the concept of divergence plays a crucial role in technical analysis, existing indicators in the community library have faced limitations, particularly in simultaneously displaying divergence lines on both price and oscillator graphs. This challenge stems from the fact that RSI and other oscillators are typically plotted in a separate pane from the price chart. Traditional Pine Script® indicators are confined to a single pane, thus restricting comprehensive divergence analysis.
🎯 Our Innovative Solution: RSI on the Price Pane
The RSI-Divergence Goggle breaks through these limitations. Our innovative approach involves plotting the RSI directly onto the price pane within a movable and resizable widget. This groundbreaking feature allows for the simultaneous drawing of zigzag patterns on both price and the oscillator, enabling the effective calculation and visualization of divergence lines on both.
🎯 The Foundation: Our Divergence Research and Rules
Our journey into divergence research began three years ago with the launch of the "Zigzag Trend Divergence Detector." The foundational rules established with this script remain pertinent and form the basis of all our subsequent divergence-based indicators.
🎯 Understanding Divergence: Key Concepts
Divergence Varieties : We identify two main types - Bullish Divergence (and its hidden counterpart) occurs at pivot lows, while Bearish Divergence (and its hidden version) appears at pivot highs.
Contextual Occurrence : Bullish divergence is a phenomenon of downtrends, whereas bearish divergence is unique to uptrend. Conversely, hidden bullish divergence arises in uptrends, and hidden bearish divergence in downtrends.
Oscillator Behavior : In standard divergence scenarios, the oscillator lags behind price, signaling potential reversals. In hidden divergence cases, the oscillator leads, suggesting trend continuation.
🎯 Visual Insights: Divergence and Hidden Divergence
For a clearer understanding, refer to our visual guides:
🎯 A Word of Caution
While divergence is a powerful tool, it's not a standalone guarantee of trend reversals or continuations. We recommend using these patterns in conjunction with support and resistance levels, as demonstrated in our "Divergence Based Support Resistance" implementation.
🎯 Using the RSI-Divergence Goggles
Upon applying the indicator to your chart, you'll be prompted to select two corner points, defining the widget's placement and size. This widget is the stage for your RSI plotting and divergence calculations. Choose these points carefully to ensure they encompass your area of interest without overlapping important price bars.
An example as below.
🎯 Innovative Features:
Plotting RSI: RSI values are scaled from 0 to 100 within the widget. This unique plotting may not align with individual bar values, but pivot labels and tooltips provide detailed RSI and retracement ratio information.
Zigzag and Pivots: Our adjusted RSI plots determine the zigzag pivot highs and lows, which may not always correspond with visible price pivots. However, calculations based on close prices ensure minimal deviation.
Divergence Display: Divergence types are identified following our established rules, with a simple moving average employed to discern the prevailing trend.
🎯 Trend Detection Mechanism
A simple moving average is used as base for determining the trend. If the difference between moving averages of the alternate pivots is positive, then the sentiment is considered to be uptrend. Else, we consider the sentiment to be in downtrend.
This is a simple method to identify trend, implemented via this indicator. The indicator does not provide alternative methods to identify trend. This is something that we can explore in the future.
🎯 Interactive and Customizable
The RSI-Divergence Goggle isn't just a static tool; it's an interactive feature on your chart. You can move or resize the widget, allowing for dynamic analysis and focused study on different chart segments.
Zig Lines with Percent & ValueOverview, Features, and Usage:
The Zig Lines with Percent & Value is an indicator that highlights the highest and lowest points of the market from pivot points and zigzag lines based on the ZigZag Period setting. By a default value of 13 for the ZigZag Period this works well on Bitcoin or other alt coins on the 1 hour or higher timeframe charts.
What makes this indicator unique is that it draws a green line to signify an uptrend or a red line to signify a down trend. It will also show the percent difference between the previous point/line, for example: If you see a -negative percentage point with a red line drawn to it, then you are looking at a low pivot point and then as the green line is drawn to a +positive percentage value the percentage you see is the difference between the two points. This is great to see a trend reversal as you can look at previous pivot points and notice about how far the price moves before it changes direction (trend reversal).
There is an invisible EMA line that is used to assist with coloring the negative vs positive values. The value above or below the percentage is the lowest or highest price at that pivot point . The display of the price at the pivot point depends on your ZigZag Period setting and the timeframe of your chart.
Added Bollinger Bands as it fits perfectly with the visuals of the Zig Lines & Pivots.
Usage of Bollinger Bands:
~As the price or candle gets close to the top or bottom of the Bollinger band it can give you a better confirmation that the pivot location is at it's final place, and the trend is more likely to switch directions.
It’s important to know this indicator should not be used for alerts of any type it does repaint as the green or red line is drawing based on live chart data and it can change depending on the direction of the market. This is a great visual tool for trend analysis or to be used with other indicators as a confirmation for a possible good entry or exit position.

Harmonic Patterns Library [TradingFinder]🔵 Introduction
Harmonic patterns blend geometric shapes with Fibonacci numbers, making these numbers fundamental to understanding the patterns.
One person who has done a lot of research on harmonic patterns is Scott Carney.Scott Carney's research on harmonic patterns in technical analysis focuses on precise price structures based on Fibonacci ratios to identify market reversals.
Key patterns include the Gartley, Bat, Butterfly, and Crab, each with specific alignment criteria. These patterns help traders anticipate potential market turning points and make informed trading decisions, enhancing the predictability of technical analysis.
🟣 Understanding 5-Point Harmonic Patterns
In the current library version, you can easily draw and customize most XABCD patterns. These patterns often form M or W shapes, or a combination of both. By calculating the Fibonacci ratios between key points, you can estimate potential price movements.
All five-point patterns share a similar structure, differing only in line lengths and Fibonacci ratios. Learning one pattern simplifies understanding others.
🟣 Exploring the Gartley Pattern
The Gartley pattern appears in both bullish (M shape) and bearish (W shape) forms. In the bullish Gartley, point X is below point D, and point A surpasses point C. Point D marks the start of a strong upward trend, making it an optimal point to place a buy order.
The bearish Gartley mirrors the bullish pattern with inverted Fibonacci ratios. In this scenario, point D indicates the start of a significant price drop. Traders can place sell orders at this point and buy at lower prices for profit in two-way markets.
🟣 Analyzing the Butterfly Pattern
The Butterfly pattern also manifests in bullish (M shape) and bearish (W shape) forms. It resembles the Gartley pattern but with point D lower than point X in the bullish version.
The Butterfly pattern involves deeper price corrections than the Gartley, leading to more significant price fluctuations. Point D in the bullish Butterfly indicates the beginning of a sharp price rise, making it an entry point for buy orders.
The bearish Butterfly has inverted Fibonacci ratios, with point D marking the start of a sharp price decline, ideal for sell orders followed by buying at lower prices in two-way markets.
🟣 Insights into the Bat Pattern
The Bat pattern, appearing in bullish (M shape) and bearish (W shape) forms, is one of the most precise harmonic patterns. It closely resembles the Butterfly and Gartley patterns, differing mainly in Fibonacci levels.
The bearish Bat pattern shares the Fibonacci ratios with the bullish Bat, with an inverted structure. Point D in the bearish Bat marks the start of a significant price drop, suitable for sell orders followed by buying at lower prices for profit.
🟣 The Crab Pattern Explained
The Crab pattern, found in both bullish (M shape) and bearish (W shape) forms, is highly favored by analysts. Discovered in 2000, the Crab pattern features a larger final wave correction compared to other harmonic patterns.
The bearish Crab shares Fibonacci ratios with the bullish version but in an inverted form. Point D in the bearish Crab signifies the start of a sharp price decline, making it an ideal point for sell orders followed by buying at lower prices for profitable trades.
🟣 Understanding the Shark Pattern
The Shark pattern appears in bullish (M shape) and bearish (W shape) forms. It differs from previous patterns as point C in the bullish Shark surpasses point A, with unique level measurements.
The bearish Shark pattern mirrors the Fibonacci ratios of the bullish Shark but is inverted. Point D in the bearish Shark indicates the start of a sharp price drop, ideal for placing sell orders and buying at lower prices to capitalize on the pattern.
🟣 The Cypher Pattern Overview
The Cypher pattern is another that appears in both bullish (M shape) and bearish (W shape) forms. It resembles the Shark pattern, with point C in the bullish Cypher extending beyond point A, and point D forming within the XA line.
The bearish Cypher shares the Fibonacci ratios with the bullish Cypher but in an inverted structure. Point D in the bearish Cypher marks the start of a significant price drop, perfect for sell orders followed by buying at lower prices.
🟣 Introducing the Nen-Star Pattern
The Nen-Star pattern appears in both bullish (M shape) and bearish (W shape) forms. In the bullish Nen-Star, point C extends beyond point A, and point D, the final point, forms outside the XA line, making CD the longest wave.
The bearish Nen-Star has inverted Fibonacci ratios, with point D indicating the start of a significant price drop. Traders can place sell orders at point D and buy at lower prices to profit from this pattern in two-way markets.
The 5-point harmonic patterns, commonly referred to as XABCD patterns, are specific geometric price structures identified in financial markets. These patterns are used by traders to predict potential price movements based on historical price data and Fibonacci retracement levels.

Divergence-Support/ResistenceAnother script based on zigzag, divergence, and to yield support and resistence levels.
This idea started with below two concepts:
▶ Support and resistence are simply levels where price has rejected to go further down or up. Usually, we can derive this based on pivots. But, if we start looking at every pivot, there will be many of them and may be confusing to understand which one to consider.
▶ Lot of people asked about one of my previous script on divergence detector on how to use it. I believe divergence should be considered as area of support and resistence because, they only amount to temporary weakness in momentum and nothing more. As per my understanding
Trend > Hidden Divergence > Divergence > Oscillator Levels of Overbought and Oversold
⬜ Process
▶ Now combining the above two concepts - what we are trying to do here is draw support resistence lines only on pivots which has observed either divergence or hidden divergence. Continuation and indecision pivots are ignored.
▶ Input requires only few parameters.
Zigzag lengths and oscillator to be used. Oscillator periods are automatically calculated based on zigzag length. Hence no other information required. You can also chose custom oscillator via external source.
▶ Display include horizontal lines of support/resistence which are drawn from the candle from where divergence or hidden divergence is detected.
▶ Support resistence lines are colored based on divergence. Green shades for bullish divergence and bullish hidden divergence whereas red shades for bearish divervence and bearish hidden divergence. Please note, red and green lines does not mean they only provide resistence or support. Any lines which are below the price should be treated as support and any line which are above the price should be treated as resistence.
▶ Divergence symbols are also printed on the bar from where divergence/hidden divergence is detected.
↗ - Bullish Hidden Divergence
↘ - Bearish Hidden Divergence
⤴ - Bullish Divergence
⤵ - Bearish Divergence
▶ Script also demonstrates usage of libraries effectively. I have used following libraries in this code.
import HeWhoMustNotBeNamed/ zigzag /2 as zg
import HeWhoMustNotBeNamed/enhanced_ta/8 as eta
import HeWhoMustNotBeNamed/ supertrend /4 as st
Can be good combination to use it with harmonic patterns.
3rd WaveHello All,
In Elliott Wave Theory, 3rd wave is not the shortest one in the waves 1/3/5 and it's usually longest one. so if we can catch it then we may get good opportunities to trade. This script finds 3rd wave experimentally. it can be also the 3rd waves in the waves 1, 3, 5, A and C. the 3rd wave should have greater volume than other waves, the script can check its volume and compare with the volumes of the waves 1 and 2 optionally.
Pine Team released Pine version 5! This script was developed in v5 and it uses Library feature of Pine v5 for the zigzag functions. This script is also an example for the Pine developers who learn Pine v5 and Libraries.
Options:
Zigzag Period: is the length that is used to calculate highest/lowest and the zigzag waves
Min/Max Retracements: is the retracement rates to check the wave 2 according to wave 1. for example; if min/max values are 0.500-0.618 then wave 2 must be minimum 0.500 of wave 1 and maximum 0.618 of wave 1.
Check Volume Support: is an option to compare the volumes of1. 2. and . waves. if you enable this option then the script checks their volume and 3rd wave volume must be greater then 1 and 2
there are 4 options for the targets. you can enable/disable and change their levels. targets are calculated using length of wave 1.
Options to show breakout zone, zigzag, wave 1 and 2.
and some options for the colors.
The Library that is used in this script:
P.S. This is an experimental work and can be improved. So do not hesitate to drop your comments under the script ;)
Enjoy!
Linear Regression & RSI Multi-Function Screener with Table-LabelHi fellow traders..
Happy to share a Linear Regression & RSI Multi-Function Custom Screener with Table-Labels...
The Screener scans for Linear Regression 2-SD Breakouts and RSI OB/OS levels for the coded tickers and gives Summary alerts
Uses Tables (dynamica resizing) for the scanner output instead of standard labels!
This Screener cum indicator collection has two distinct objectives..
1. Attempt re-entry into trending trades.
2. Attempt Counter trend trades using linear regression , RSI and Zigzag.
Briefly about the Screener functions..
a. It uses TABLES as Labels a FIRST for any Screener on TV.
b. Tables dynamically resize based on criteria..
c. Alerts for breakouts of the UPPER and the LOWER regression channels.(2 SD)
d. In addition to LinReg it also Screens RSI for OB/OS levels so a multifunction Screener.
e. Of course has the standard summary Alerts and programmable format for Custom functions.
f. Uses only the inbuilt Auto Fib and Lin Reg code for the screener.(No proprietary stuff)
g. The auto Zigzag code is derived(Auto fib).
Question what are all these doing in a single screener ??
ZigZag is very useful in determining Trend Up or Down from one Pivot to another.
So Once you have a firm view of the Current Trend for your chosen timeframe and ticker…
We can consider few possible trading scenarios..
a. Re-entry in an Up Trend - Combination of OS Rsi And a Lower Channel breach followed by a re-entry back into the regression channel CAN be used as an effective re-entry.
b. Similarily one can join a Down Trend on OB Rsi and Upper Channel line breach followed by re-entry into the regression channel.
If ZigZag signals a range-bound market, bound within channel lines then the Upper breakout can be used to Sell and vice-versa!
In short many possibilities for using these functions together with Scanner and Alerts.
This facilitates timely PROFITABLE Trending and Counter trend opportunities across multiple tickers.
You must give a thorough READ to the various available tutorials on ZigZag / Regression and Fib retracements before attempting counter trend trades using these tools!!
A small TIP – Markets are sideways or consolidating 70% of the time!!
Acknowledgements: - Thanks a lot DGTRD for the Auto ZigZag code and also for the eagerness to help wherever possible..Respect!!
Disclaimer: The Alerts and Screener are just few tools among many and not any kind of Buy/Sell recommendations. Unless you have sufficient trading experience please consult a Financial advisor before investing real money.
*The alerts are set for crossovers however for viewing tickers trading above or below the channel use code in line 343 and 344 after setting up the Alerts!
** RSI alerts are disabled by default to avoid clutter, but if needed one can activate code lines 441,442,444 and 445
Wish you all, Happy Profitable Trading!
SemaforHello Traders!
I have been away for a while but am recovering back gradually! Here is a gift to all of you.
It is based on the much loved ZigZag++ Script
The Semafor is used to spot future multi-level Supports and Resistance zones.
It is also useful to spot HL or LL or HH or LH zones at different Depth settings.
The red zones are the extreme places where the market has a higher chance of reversing while the green zones have the lowest setting with lower chances of the market reversal
To ease understanding of the code, I used the function `zigzag()` to show the simplicity in calculation
More will be coming this Year!
Multi ZZ - Support/ResistenceExperimental and probably can be improved further.
Method of deriving support/resistence is as follows:
Calculate Zigzags and start pushing them to SR array as and when they form
If any of the existing item is within the small distance - merge them. ATR is used to find if the prices are close by.
Whenever we merge two pivots, strength of support keeps increasing. This means, price has bounced off this point more time. Hence, keep track of number of pivots merged together.
Keep removing old pivots which are far away based on Loopback input
And that's all we got the full list of support and resistence points.
Now, to filter insignificant pivots, chose only those points which has been merged by more than Min Pivots input. Width of the support/resistence lines also will be thicker for the pivots which has more count. Hence thicker line imply strong support and resistence whereas the thinner ones are minor ones.
Multi ZigZag Harmonic PatternsCombining Multizigzag with harmonic patterns - this script generates harmonic patterns based on multiple deapth zigzags.
Input parameter allows to chose which Zigzag to be included in pattern identification and set different length, line color, width and style for each Zigzag combinations.
Pattern rules are as below:

0.382 <= abc <= 0.886

Zig Zag High-Low + RSIThis indicator adds to the functionality of Tr0sT's Zig Zag High Low Indicator by adding the RSI value above the higher-high to eyeball whether the current trend (signified by consecutive higher-highs and higher lows or consecutive lower highs and lower lows) is strengthening or weakening.
THEORY / METHODOLOGY:
If the uptrend is strong, the later pivot high will have a greater RSI number than the previous pivot high indicating an opportunity to go long. In a downtrend the lower high should have a lower RSI than the previous lower high indicating an opportunity to go short. If it does not, it is an indication that the trend is weakening.
ACTION:
If the ZigZag has higher highs and Higher lows and a strengthening RSI, look for Long opportunities on the lower time frame. If the ZigZag has lower highs and lower lows and a weakening RSI, look for Short opportunities on the lower time frame.
USAGE:
This methodology works best and produces the most opportunities when the markets are active, i.e. between 6AM-11AM EST
