VWAP Bands [TradingFinder] 26 Brokers Data (Forex + Crypto)🔵 Introduction
Indicators are tools that help analysts predict the price trend of a stock through mathematical calculations on price or trading volume. It is evident that trading volume significantly impacts the price trend of a stock symbol.
The Volume-Weighted Average Price (VWAP) indicator combines the influence of trading volume and price, providing technical analysts with a practical tool.
This technical indicator determines the volume-weighted average price of a symbol over a specified time period. Consequently, this indicator can be used to identify trends and entry or exit points.
🟣 Calculating the VWAP Indicator
Adding the VWAP indicator to a chart will automatically perform all calculations for you. However, if you wish to understand how this indicator is calculated, the following explains the steps involved.
Consider a 5-minute chart. In the first candle of this chart (which represents price information in the first 5 minutes), sum the high, low, and close prices, and divide by 3. Multiply the resulting number by the volume for the period and call it a variable (e.g., X).
Then, divide the resulting output by the total volume for that period to calculate your VWAP. To maintain the VWAP sequence throughout the trading day, it is necessary to add the X values obtained from each period to the previous period and divide by the total volume up to that time. It is worth noting that the calculation method is the same for intervals shorter than a day.
The mathematical formula for this VWAP indicator : VWAP = ∑ (Pi×Vi) / ∑ Vi
🔵 How to Use
Traders might consider the VWAP indicator as a tool for predicting trends. For example, they might buy a stock when the price is above the VWAP level and sell it when the price is below the VWAP.
In other words, when the price is above the VWAP, the price is rising, and when it is below the VWAP, the price is falling. Major traders and investment funds also use the VWAP ratio to help enter or exit stocks with the least possible market impact.
It is important to note that one should not rely solely on the VWAP indicator when analyzing symbols. This is because if prices rise quickly, the VWAP indicator may not adequately describe the conditions. This indicator is generally used for daily or shorter time frames because using longer intervals can distort the average.
Since this indicator uses past data in its calculations, it can be considered a lagging indicator. As a result, the more data there is, the greater the delay.
🟣 Difference Between VWAP and Simple Moving Average
On a chart, the VWAP and the simple moving average may look similar, but these two indicators have different calculations. The VWAP calculates the total price considering volume, while the simple moving average does not consider volume.
In simpler terms, the VWAP indicator measures each day's price change relative to the trading volume that occurred that day. In contrast, the simple moving average implicitly assumes that all trading days have the same volume.
🟣 Reasons Why Traders Like the VWAP Indicator
The VWAP Considers Volume: Since VWAP takes volume into account, it can be more reliable than a simple arithmetic average of prices. Theoretically, one person can buy 200,000 shares of a symbol in one transaction at a single price.
However, during the same time frame, 100 other people might place 200 different orders at various prices that do not total 100,000 shares. In this case, if you only consider the average price, you might be mistaken because trading volume is ignored.
The Indicator Can Help Day Traders: While reviewing your trades, you might notice that the shares you bought at market price are trading below the VWAP indicator.
In this case, there's no need to worry because with the help of VWAP, you always get a price below the average. By knowing the volume-weighted average price of a stock, you can easily make an informed decision about paying more or less than other traders for the stock.
VWAP Can Signal Market Trend Changes: Buying low and selling high can be an excellent strategy for individuals. However, you are looking to buy when prices start to rise and sell your shares when prices start to fall.
Since the VWAP indicator simulates a balanced price in the market, when the price crosses above the VWAP line, one can assume that traders are willing to pay more to acquire shares, and as a result, the market will grow. Conversely, when the price crosses below the line, this can be considered a sign of a downward movement.

Stef's Dollar Volume CounterStef's Dollar Volume Counter is my second script that I've worked on and coded. I am proud of this script because it does something very, very important: it counts the AMOUNT of money traded, not just the amount shares/contracts traded. This is key for understanding where the big and small money is.
This script is totally different from other Volume scripts because it shows the amount of money traded, NOT the shares/contracts/coins etc. Also, more importantly, it is different from other volume indicators in the same space because this script is specifically focused on showcasing specific dollar volume amounts either as a table or as a label.
Here are the 5 key features you can utilize with this:
1. Customizable Gradient Colors for BIG money and SMALL money: Visually distinguishes between high and low dollar volumes. Change the colors as needed in the indicator settings menu.
2. Dollar Volume Counter Table: Positioned at the bottom right of the chart, this table provides quick insights into the highest, lowest, and average dollar volumes over a specified period. You can customize the time period in the settings menu.
3. "Wow! Much Money!" Labels: Highlights the top three recent highest dollar volumes within the visible chart area, emphasizing significant trading periods. Also, it's hilarious :)
4. Customize the period for volume analysis, ranging from 1 to 12 months or more, with the selected timeframe displayed in the table.
5. It opens as a new pane below the chart so that you can still analyze price and more, as needed.
Thanks for reading! I look forward to hearing your feedback. This script will be updated to expand on more concepts and I'll add some cool features soon.

Aggressor Volume ImbalanceAggressor volume imbalance represents the ratio between market aggressor buy volume (market buy orders) and market aggressor sell volume (market sell orders). This ratio enables traders to evaluate the interest of market aggressors and whether aggressive market activity favours the price's direction.
Analysing aggressor volume is critical in understanding market sentiment and aids in identifying shifts in momentum and potential exhaustion points in the market. When the aggressor buy volume significantly exceeds the sell volume, it typically indicates strong buying interest, driving prices higher if the offer-side liquidity cannot contain it, and vice versa.
How it Works
The imbalance ratio is calculated as follows, according to the selected session timeframe (see settings):
imbalance := ((buyVolumeAccumulator - sellVolumeAccumulator)
/ (buyVolumeAccumulator + sellVolumeAccumulator)) * 100
Aggressive Volume Imbalance uses lower timeframe historical data to calculate Historical Aggressor Volume Imbalances, while live data is used for live aggressor volume imbalances.
How to Use It
You can set the indicator to use any historical data timeframe you prefer. However, it is highly recommended to use lower timeframes (e.g., 1 second), as the lower the timeframe, the more granular the data.
The indicator resets to 0% whenever a new session timeframe begins (e.g., a new day) and calculates new values for the rest of the session. This can be configured in the settings.
Significant Volume with Price Changes HighlightedSignificant Volume with Price Changes Highlighted
The "Significant Volume with Price Changes Highlighted" indicator by PappyTrading is a powerful tool designed to help traders identify significant volume spikes and price changes in the market. This indicator overlays the volume bars on the price chart and highlights them based on specific volume and price change conditions, providing a clear visual representation of market activity.
What It Does
This indicator calculates the moving average of the volume over a specified period and compares the current volume to this average. It also calculates the daily percentage change relative to the previous day's close and compares this to its moving average. The volume bars are then color-coded based on the following conditions:
Bright Green (#089981): Indicates a significant volume spike with an above-average price increase.
Bright Red (#f23645): Indicates a significant volume spike with an above-average price decrease.
Green with 60% transparency: Indicates a normal up day with a price increase but not a significant volume spike.
Red with 60% transparency: Indicates a normal down day with a price decrease but not a significant volume spike.
Additionally, the indicator plots a 20-period simple moving average (SMA) of the volume, providing a reference point to understand the general volume trend.
How It Works
Volume Calculation:
The indicator calculates the 20-period SMA of the volume and compares the current volume to this average to determine if there is a significant volume spike.
Price Change Calculation:
The indicator calculates the daily percentage change in price relative to the previous day's close and compares this to the 20-period SMA of the percentage change to identify significant price movements.
Color Coding:
The volume bars are color-coded based on the combination of the volume and price change conditions. This visual representation allows traders to quickly identify significant market activities.
How to Use It
Overlay on Chart:
Add the "Significant Volume with Price Changes Highlighted" indicator to your chart. The volume bars will be displayed at the bottom of the chart, color-coded based on the conditions described above.
Identify Market Activity:
Use the color-coded volume bars to identify significant market activities. Bright green bars indicate strong buying pressure, while bright red bars indicate strong selling pressure. Transparent green and red bars indicate normal market activity without significant volume spikes.
Volume Moving Average:
The blue line represents the 20-period SMA of the volume. Use this as a reference to understand the general volume trend and identify deviations from the average.
Concepts Underlying the Calculations
Volume Spikes: Significant volume spikes often precede or accompany major market moves. By highlighting these spikes, traders can gain insights into potential market turning points or continuation patterns.
Price Changes: Large price changes relative to the previous day's close indicate strong market momentum. By comparing these changes to their moving average, the indicator helps traders identify unusually strong buying or selling pressure.
This indicator is ideal for traders who want to gain a deeper understanding of market dynamics by analyzing volume and price changes together. It is suitable for various trading styles, including trend following, swing trading, and scalping.

OrderFlow Absorption IndicatorWhat it Does
The OrderFlow Absorption Indicator marks areas where the price absorbs a large volume of aggressive market trades. This indicates areas where price may bounce back due to large limit (resting) orders absorbing significant aggressor volume (market orders). Absorption can also be seen as "preventing" or "stopping" the other side from breaking through a price level (e.g. bids stopping an influx of sell market orders). Absorption may signal a change in sentiment, potentially leading to a pullback or reversal.
An Example of Absorption
Of course, it is not always the case that such bullish absorption will initiate a trend as the example above. The OrderFlow Absorption Indicator merely serves as a tool for spotting possible absorption points in the market which you can incorporate into your trading arsenal.
How it Works
The indicator actively monitors price changes and records volume accumulated at a price level. If the price bounces back to at least where it was before the current price move, the indicator records this as absorption, provided it meets the Volume Requirement and optional Time Requirement.
How to Use it
1. Set Parameters
Choose your desired tick size and volume filter value. If unsure, refer to the table on the top right of the chart for recommended values. An automatic volume limit filter mode is also available.
Automatic Limit Mode : Enable this mode to have the indicator automatically select a volume filter value. It calculates the standard deviation of the last n minutes of volume and multiplies it by a volume multiplier. You can adjust these parameters.
Higher Volume Filter : Setting a higher volume filter value results in fewer, but higher quality detections, reducing noise.
2. Enabling the Time Limit
Enabling the time limit further improves detection quality by filtering out price levels that can defend against quick, sudden aggressive orders, acting as confirmation and indicating strong sentiment and resilient liquidity.
3. Enabling Historical Data Absorption
The indicator can also detect absorption in historical data, though less accurately than in real-time due to OHLCV aggregation.
You can select the granularity of historical data.
Lower granularity (e.g., 1 second) : Provides more accurate detections but may slow down the indicator.
Higher granularity : Improves speed but reduces detection accuracy.
Other Features
Hovering : When hovering over an absorption point, the interface reveals the price where the absorption occurred, along with the volume absorbed by the bids and asks, as well as the volume filter value used.
Delta Mode : In Delta mode, the system calculates the difference between the volume absorbed by bids and asks, revealing points only when the absolute value of this difference exceeds the volume filter value. Especially useful for larger tick sizes.
Troubleshooting
If the indicator doesn't mark anything, it means the traded volume hasn't exceeded the set volume filter value within the specified price intervals(tick size) and time limit. Adjust these settings as necessary.
Volume Indıcator [JP & Dia]The volume indicator refers to the total amount of a financial instrument that has been traded within a specific time frame. This can include shares, contracts, or lots. Market exchanges track and provide this data. The volume indicator is one of the oldest and most widely used indicators in trading. It is typically represented by colored columns, with green indicating up volume and red indicating down volume, along with a moving average. Unlike other indicators, the volume indicator is not based on price. A high volume suggests a strong interest in a particular instrument at its current price, while a low volume suggests the opposite.
When there is a sudden increase in trading volume, it indicates a higher likelihood of the price changing. This often occurs during news events. Strong trending movements are often accompanied by increased trading volume, which can be seen as a measure of strength. Traders would typically expect to see high buying volume at a support level and high selling volume at a resistance level. There are various ways to incorporate volume into a trading strategy, and many traders combine it with other analysis techniques.
USECASE :
Timeframe Selection: Choose the timeframe for which you want to analyze the volume.
Volume Display Options: Toggle the display of today’s, yesterday’s, and the day before yesterday’s volume data.
Text Color: Select the color for the text in the volume table.

By offering a clear and dynamic representation of volume fluctuations, the EVI enables traders to effortlessly identify significant market movements and potential trading opportunities.
Key Features:
Sophisticated Volume Strength Assessment: The EVI leverages the standard deviation of historical candle volumes to evaluate and categorize the current volume intensity. This sophisticated methodology allows for the precise detection of when current volume levels significantly deviate from their historical norms.
Intuitive Visual Cues: Volume bars are color-coded to represent varying levels of volume intensity, ranging from very weak to very strong. This intuitive visual differentiation aids traders in quickly grasping the market's underlying volume dynamics at a glance.
Proactive Threshold Alerts: Stay ahead of the market with the EVI’s built-in alert functionality. Receive real-time notifications of critical volume changes, ensuring that you remain informed of significant market developments even while away from your trading desk.
How It Works:
The EVI calculates the Simple Moving Average (SMA) and Standard Deviation (STDEV) of volume over a user-defined period (default set to 500 candles). Utilizing these statistical measures, the indicator establishes various volume thresholds by applying predefined multipliers for extreme, high, medium, and low volume levels. The volume bars are then color-coded based on these thresholds, providing traders with a clear visual representation of volume intensity. Additionally, horizontal lines indicating these thresholds are plotted on the chart for easy reference, further enhancing the indicator’s usability.
This version of the EVI is particularly suited for traders who prefer simplicity and efficiency over complexity, making it an excellent alternative to the more intricate Volume Delta Divergence (VDD) indicator. The EVI delivers powerful volume insights in a straightforward and accessible manner, ensuring that even those who favor less complexity can benefit from robust volume analysis.
Ideal for traders seeking to capture major market moves or pinpoint potential reversals, the Enhanced Volume Indicator (EVI) is a must-have tool. Elevate your trading strategy with the EVI and ensure you never miss out on significant volume breakouts again.

Uptrick: Volume StrengthPurpose:
The "Uptrick: Volume Strength" indicator, known by its short title 'VolStrength,' is meticulously designed to evaluate the strength of volume activity within a market, providing traders with valuable insights into liquidity dynamics. By visualizing volume bars and comparing them to a predefined threshold, traders can gauge the intensity of buying or selling pressure, thereby assessing market liquidity and potential price movements.
Explanation:
Input Parameters:
Traders benefit from the ability to customize the threshold for high volume, allowing them to adapt the indicator to varying market conditions and trading strategies.
The calculation of the average volume over a specified period adds depth to the analysis, offering traders a reference point for assessing current volume levels relative to historical averages and evaluating liquidity trends.
Volume Analysis:
The script discerns between bars where the closing price exceeds the opening price (up bars) and bars where the closing price is lower than the opening price (down bars), facilitating the identification of bullish or bearish market sentiment.
High-volume bars that surpass the predefined threshold are prominently highlighted, serving as indicators of increased trading activity and enhanced liquidity levels.
Average Volume Visualization:
A line representing the average volume over the specified period is plotted on the chart, providing traders with a visual reference for evaluating current volume levels against historical averages. This aids in assessing the overall liquidity conditions in the market.
Volume Bar Representation:
The colorization of volume bars is contingent upon their direction (up or down) and whether they exceed the high volume threshold.
Up bars, symbolizing buying pressure, are typically depicted in green, while down bars, indicative of selling pressure, are rendered in red.
Notably, when volume surpasses the high volume threshold, the respective bar color is applied, accentuating significant volume spikes and their potential impact on liquidity and price dynamics.
Through its meticulous design and comprehensive features, the "Uptrick: Volume Strength" indicator equips traders with actionable insights into market liquidity dynamics. By integrating volume analysis into their trading strategies, traders can effectively assess liquidity conditions, identify potential price movements, and make informed trading decisions.
Volume Flow ImbalanceVolume Flow Imbalance (VFI) Indicator
The Volume Flow Imbalance (VFI) indicator is designed to provide traders with insights into the market's buying and selling pressure by calculating the imbalance between buy and sell volumes over a user-defined lookback period. This indicator is particularly useful for identifying potential pivot points and market sentiment shifts.
How to Use :
Setup Parameters :
Lookback Period: Set the number of bars over which the imbalance is calculated. Increasing this number provides a broader view of market trends.
Lower Timeframe Data: Optionally enable this feature to analyze volume data from lower timeframes, offering a more granified view of volume flows.
Interpreting the Indicator :
The VFI outputs a value that represents the net imbalance between buying and selling volumes. Positive values indicate a predominance of buying volume, suggesting bullish conditions, while negative values suggest bearish conditions with more selling volume.
The indicator also provides dynamic threshold lines based on the standard deviation of the calculated imbalances, helping to visually identify extreme conditions where reversals might occur.
Application :
Apply the VFI to any chart to assess the balance of trade volumes in real-time.
Use the indicator in conjunction with other technical analysis tools to confirm trends or potential reversals.
Tips :
Adjust the lookback period based on the volatility and trading volume of the asset to optimize performance.
The VFI is best used in liquid markets where volume data is a reliable indicator of market activity.
By providing a clear measure of how much buying and selling is occurring relative to the past, the VFI helps traders make informed decisions based on underlying market dynamics.
PriceCatch Volume Analysis Fixed RangeHi TV Community.
It's been sometime since I published any script / utility. But today, I am back with a new script.
Volume Analysis
Studying volume when in trade or before taking one is very important as seasoned traders would tell you. So, this script helps you to look at volume over a specific interval from current bar. You will have to set the look-back period in the settings dialog.
The script will then show over that period :
Number of Up and Down bars
Volume Ratio of Up Volume over Down Volume
Actual Up and Down Volume
Percentage of Up Volume to Down Volume
I use this information in all my trades and hope that you will also find this Script useful.
To my knowledge, I have not seen another volume analysis script that helps see volume in the way this script does.
NOTE:
This script does not give any buy or sell signal if that is what you are looking for. But if you see that Up Volume is 3 times Down Volume, then that should mean something to you. So also when price is slipping down.
Disclaimer
I am sharing this Script without any warranties as to its usability. Use it only if you like it. As always when it comes to trading you and you alone are responsible for your actions.
All the best with your trades.

Volume RSIRelative strength index based on volume data.
Indicate volume momentum, and help you define divergences on volume.
The goal is to have an idea and represent in another form volumes and kept eyes on volume momentum on a certain period.
RSI is an indicator about the strength, I keep the oversold/overbought thresholds. I think it still makes sense to interpret.
the calculations is simple, we use the average volume up (avg_vol_up) and average volume down (avg_vol_down) over the period.
then calculate the relatives strength : ( avg_vol_up / ( avg_vol_up + avg_vol_down ) ) * 100
The period is 14 by default. The period is used for calculating mean.
I also add MA it helps to have a global look on the indicator.
In my code I used the idea of @Padronhosnai in his code "positve/negative volume" to get volumes in the right form.
For pictures I also use his indicator it's the one above.
PVSRA Candles Auto OverrideWhat does this “PVSRA Candles Auto Override” Indicator
do?
This indicator automates PVSRA analysis for crypto traders. It finds the corresponding Binance Perpetual Futures chart for the current instrument, then replaces the current chart's volume profile with the perpetual futures data (if available) to ensure the PVSRA calculation uses the most relevant volume. This not only reduces human error during market scans but also automatically selects the appropriate Binance Perpetual Futures contract, saving time and improving the accuracy of PVSRA calculations.
How can a trader use this indicator?
This helps the trader to identify if there is volume data available in an equivalent Binance Perpetual Futures chart and automatically displays it, making it easier to switch coins whilst viewing the market. Why do we want to use Binance Perpetual Futures Volume? In most markets Binance volume surpasses those of other crypto exchanges so this will give us a better view on the volume spikes in the market.
What is PVSRA and how can I trade using this indicator?
PVSRA candles are a type of candlestick chart formatting. PVSRA stands for Price, Volume, Support and Resistance Analysis.
Here's a breakdown of what PVSRA candles aim to achieve:
Combine multiple factors: They take into account price movement, trading volume, and support and resistance levels to identify potential trading opportunities.
Highlight potential imbalances: By color-coding candles based on PVSRA analysis, they aim to show areas of high volume activity, potentially representing imbalances created by market makers (large institutions that influence price).
Identify areas of revisit: The theory is that these high-volume zones may be revisited by the market in the future, as there's "unrecovered liquidity" in those areas.
Usage of the Indicator:
By default the indicator will automatically use the Equivalent Binance Perpetual Chart for the Data
You can override the symbol manually if you what to view another instrument’s data.
OBVious MA Strategy [1000X Trader]Exploring OBV: The OBVious MA Strategy
Are you using On Balance Volume (OBV) effectively? OBV is a gift to traders. OBV often provides a leading signal at the outset of a trend, when compression in the markets produces a surge in OBV prior to increased volatility.
This strategy demonstrates one method of utilizing OBV to your advantage. I call it the "OBVious MA Strategy ” only because it is so simple in its mechanics. This is meant to be a demonstration, not a strategy to utilize in live trading, as the primary utility of the OBVious MA indicator is as a volume confirmation filter that complements other components of a strategy. That said, I felt useful to present this indicator in isolation in this strategy to demonstrate the power it holds.
Strategy Features:
• OBV is the core signal: this strategy revolves around the On Balance Volume indicator. OBV is a straightforward indicator: it registers a value by adding total volume traded on up candles, and subtracts total volume on down candles, generating a line by connecting those values. OBV was described in 1963 by Joe Granville in his book "Granville's New Key to Stock Market Profits” in which the author argues that OBV is the most vital key to success as a trader, as volume changes are a major predictor of price changes.
• Dual Moving Averages: here we use separate moving averages for entries and exits. This allows for more granular trade management; for example, one can either extend the length of the exit MA to hold positions longer, or shorten the MA for swifter exits, independently of the entry signals.
Execution: long trades are taken when the OBV line crosses above the Long Entry Moving Average of the OBV. Long exits occur when the OBV line crosses under the Long Exit MA of the OBV. Shorts enter on a cross below the Short Entry MA, and exit on a cross above the Short Exit MA.
• Directional Trading: a direction filter can be set to "long" or "short," but not “both”, given that there is no trend filter in this strategy. When used in a bi-directional strategy with a trend filter, we add “both” to the script as a third option.
Application:
While this strategy outlines entry and exit conditions based on OBV crossovers with designated moving averages, is is, as stated, best used in conjunction with a supporting cast of confirmatory indicators (feel free to drop me a note and tell me how you've used it). It can be used to confirm entries, or you might try using it as a sole exit indicator in a strategy.
Visualization:
The strategy includes conditional plotting of the OBV MAs, which plot based on the selected trading direction. This visualization aids in understanding how OBV interacts with the set moving averages.
Further Discussion:
We all know the importance of volume; this strategy demonstrates one simple yet effective method of incorporating the OBV for volume analysis. The OBV indicator can be used in many ways - for example, we can monitor OBV trend line breaks, look for divergences, or as we do here, watch for breaks of the moving average.
Despite its simplicity, I'm unaware of any previously published cases of this method. The concept of applying MAs or EMAs to volume-based indicators like OBV is not uncommon in technical analysis, so I expect that work like this has been done before. If you know of other similar indicators or strategies, please mention in the comments.
One comparable strategy that uses EMAs of the OBV is QuantNomad’s "On Balance Volume Oscillator Strategy ", which uses a pair of EMAs on a normalized-range OBV-based oscillator. In that strategy, however, entries and exits occur on one EMA crossing the other, which places trades at distinctly different times than crossings of the OBV itself. Both are valid approaches with strength in simplicity.
