Date Range

Application

This tool allows user to place points horizontally on two different time points. A shaded box will then appear between the chosen points showing the date range (or time range at intraday intervals). Text will also appear along the box displaying the number of bars as well as time elapsed during the date/time range. 

Style

In the Style property dialog, it is possible to change the appearance of the date range drawing tool:

Line

Sets the color, thickness and opacity level of the left and right lines of a date range.

Background

Toggles the visibility, color and opacity level of the space between the lines.

Extend Top/Extend Bottom

Use these checkboxes to extend the date range drawing vertically through all the chart.

Label

Sets the color, opacity level, font type and size of the text on the label.

Label Background

Toggles visibility, color and opacity level of the label background.

Volume

Toggles the visibility of text displaying the volume of trades in the date range.

Coordinates

In the Coordinates properties dialog, you can set precisely the position of the date range points on the price scale (by setting the price) and the time axis (by setting the bar number):


Price 1

Allows for the precise placement of the date range's first point (Price 1) using a bar number and price.

Price 2

Allows for the precise placement of the date range's second point (Price 2) using a bar number and price.

In the Visibility properties dialog, you can switch the Date Range displaying on charts of different timeframes:
