IBD utilizes a principles-based bond strategy that aligns with evangelical Christian values defined by the issuer. Starting from a broad universe of USD-denominated, investment-grade corporate bonds issued by S&P 500 companies, the fund screens out firms with any participation in activities inconsistent with biblical values as defined by the index sponsor. The fund applies a proprietary model to score companies based on primary business activities, products and services, philanthropy, legal activities, policies, and practices. The fund holds 250 bonds from the 200 highest-scoring issuers, weighted equally across four maturity tranches of 0-3, 3-5, 5-7,and 7-10 years. The portfolio will have an average maturityof approximately5 years. IBD is a potential fit for investors who share the faith-based principles defined by the issuer. Between March 30 and August 19, 2022, the fund's name included a reference to 'ESG'. There was no change in the strategy.
