JSCPs actively managed take on the fixed income space has two objectives: generating total returns and managing risk. To achieve this goal, the fund adviser employs a top-down and bottom-up approach in selecting components for the fund. Using a risk/reward and fundamental credit analysis, the adviser buys and sells securities based on an evaluation of potential gains within different market sectors and individual debt securities. JSCP may invest in a broad range of securities from US Treasurys to emerging market debt. Do note that the fund limits investments in foreign debt to 25% and below investment grade securities to 30%. The fund seeks to maintain a duration of three years or less. Derivatives and other financial instruments may be used to manage the portfolio.
