NUGO seeks long-term capital growth from an actively managed, concentrated portfolio of 40 to 65 US large-caps exhibiting a combination of growth, quality, and value characteristics. Eligible firms with at least $1 billion market-cap are further analyzed based on: earnings growth, cash flow, products and services, balance sheet, return-on-investment (ROI), management integrity, and relative valuation. The fund may have a foreign exposure of up to 20% through American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) and may also utilize US-listed futures. Unlike traditional ETFs that disclose holdings daily, the fund has a non-transparent structure and publishes a proxy portfolio on its websitethat includes only some of the funds holdings, along with certain related information metrics. Actual holdings are published monthly with a 30-day lag. NUGO is Nuveens first ETF that is not based on one of its existing mutual funds.
