PHOX tracks an index of companies listed in major exchanges that are engaged in the generation, transmission, and processing of data using light-based signaling for AI computing. The fund considers companies through a six-layer AI Photonics architecture representing the photonics value chain: Raw Chemistry & Materials, Raw Light & Micro-Optics, Translators & Optical Intelligence, Final Module Integration & Assembly, Physical Highway & Network, and Toolmakers & Quality Control. Companies are classified as either Principally Engaged (pure play) or Materially Engaged based on their derived revenue from photonics. Chinese and Taiwanese companies are eligible only if Principally Engaged. The fund selects the 25 highest-ranked securities, first by engagement classification and then by market capitalization. The fund separately weights pure-play and materially engaged companies by market cap, each applying set limits. The index is rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly.
