SLX is a passively managed fund that tracks an index of companies involved in the global steel industry. Companies derive significant revenue from mining and processing of iron ore, production, processing, fabrication and recycling of steel products, operation of steel production facilities and related services, and/or recycling of steel products. To qualify, companies must be listed on an exchange from a country unhindered by certain restrictions. The fund selects at least 25 companies that meet market-cap and liquidity requirements. The market cap-weighted index is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly, subject to free-float adjustments and concentration limits. Prior to Dec. 19, 2025, the fund tracked the NYSE Arca Steel Index.
