STBQ tracks an index of companies and/or crypto asset ETPs with exposure to the stablecoin economy. Stablecoins are digital tokens used in maintaining stable value relative to fiat currencies. In selecting constituents, the index utilizes a rules-based methodology to identify companies and digital asset ETPs with significant involvement in activities relating to stablecoins. The eligible universe is divided into two, separating the core and non-core companies. All companies are sorted by market-cap with the core firms placed first on the list. The top 20 is selected for inclusion. Meanwhile, digital asset ETPs are measured by AUM with only the top 10 largest ETPs made eligible for selection. Investments in ETPs are made indirectly through a wholly owned subsidiary in the Cayman Islands. The index is tier-weighted, dividing the weightings of its companies and ETPs depending on the available number of selected positions. The index is reconstituted semi-annually and rebalanced quarterly.
