It operates through the following business segments: Plantation, Health Care, Auto Electric Components, and Investments. The Plantation segment produces in tea, coffee, timber, cardamom and pepper. The Health Care segment manufactures dental products. The Auto Electric Components segment includes solenoids, switches, valves, and slip rings for automobile. The Investments segment invests in securities listed, as well as unlisted on a long term basis. The company was founded on September 4, 1863 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India.
