In 2017, Denmark imported mainly: machinery (22 percent of total imports); miscellaneous manufactured articles (18 percent); manufactured goods classified chiefly by material (14 percent); live animals, food, beverages and tobacco (13 percent); chemicals and related products (13 percent); transport equipment (9 percent); and mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials (6 percent). Main import partners were: Germany (23 percent of total imports), Sweden (12 percent), the Netherlands and China (8 percent each), the UK (4 percent), France and Norway (3 percent each).
