In Mozambique, the three main components of the consumer price index are: Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages (30.3 percent of total weight); Transport (18.7 percent) and Restaurants and Hotels (12.9 percent). Others include: Housing and Utilities (7.8 percent); Clothing and Footwear (7.7 percent); Household Contents, Equipment and Maintenance (6.9 percent) and Communication (5.9 percent). Education, Miscellaneous Goods and Services, Recreation and Culture, Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and Health account for the remaining 9.9 percent of total weight.
