The Healthcare SA segment consists of medical scheme administration and health risk management services, of which Medscheme is the biggest contributor. The Healthcare Retail segment refers to pharmaceutical sales and services by Pharmacy Direct, MMed, Scriptpharm Risk Management, Curasana Wholesaler, Activo Health, and Activo Healthcare Assets Group. The Healthcare Africa segment provides all healthcare services outside of South Africa Namibia and Mauritius. This includes associate earnings in Botswana. The Information Technology segment refers to all information technology services predominantly in South Africa. The company was founded by Michael Ivan Sacks and Jacob Meyer Kahn on February 3, 1988 and is headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa.
