SOXW is a short-term tactical tool that provides 2x leveraged exposure to the weekly performance of SOXX, an ETF composed of 30 US-listed semiconductor companies. The strategy involves entering into one or more swap agreements intended to produce leveraged investment results relative to the returns of SOXX. Unlike traditional ETFs, SOXW introduces added volatility due to its lack of diversification and use of leverage. Holdings are rebalanced weekly to maintain the 200% exposure. However, if SOXXs price drops by 35% or more during a week, the fund will rebalance early to protect against further losses, although this may prevent it from meeting its target return for that week. To maximize results, the fund places its remaining cash in US government securities, money market funds, short-term bond ETFs, or high-quality corporate debt as collateral. The fund is designed for investors with a high-risk tolerance and a short-term outlook.
