The index is designed to help investors benchmark their investments and is derived from the FTSE Global Equity Index Series, which covers around 98% of the world's investable market capitalization. Using a sampling methodology in tracking the index, the fund invests in a sample of securities that collectively have a similar investment profile to the underlying index. Holdings are market cap-weighted. The index is reviewed semi-annually in March and September.
