The fund-of-funds aims to provide income by investing in CAD-denominated investment grade bond funds. The fund intends to maintain a three-year ladder by targeting three underlying funds that each represent a segment year for debt securities with one to three years to maturity. To maintain the one- to three-year ladder, cash proceeds from the nearest-term fund that expires are reinvested back into a longer-dated fund. The portfolio is weighted equally to the three segments, which is rebalanced from time to time. As an actively managed ETF, the fund manager has full discretion to make any investment decision at any time. The fund may directly in Canadian investment grade bonds, as well as hold money market instruments, money market funds, or cash.
