Nippon Soda Co., Ltd. engages in the chemical business. It operates through the following segments: Chemicals, Agro Products, Trading, Transportation and Warehousing, Construction, and Others. The Chemicals segment deals with the manufacture and sale of industrial chemicals, chemical products, functional materials, eco care, pharmaceuticals and intermediates, and industrial fungicides. The Agro Products segment manufactures and sells sanitizing agents, insecticides, pesticides, and industrial sanitizers. The Trading Segment covers the domestic sale, import, and export of chemicals, functional products, synthetic resin, industrial machineries, and building products. The Transportation and Warehousing segment provides transportation and warehousing services. The Construction segment handles plant construction and civil engineering works. The Others segment deals with non-ferrous metal and environmental development businesses. The company was founded by Tomonori Nakano on February 1, 1920 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
